D3ads Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 i've finished my tv series backlog after this... and there's no decent tv series currently airing. recommendations? (some favorites/already watched are breaking bad, deadwood, the wire, boardwalk empire, rome, battlestar galactica and sopranos). no sitcoms please. The X-Files, if you've never watched them... currently watching season 2, still the best American drama series ever made! Quote

D3ads Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 I really liked season 8 actually, Robert Patrick's character was great imho and it was interesting how the roles were reversed and Scully was the believer this time. Season 9... never happened Quote
Sentura Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 yeah it was interesting given the tension the series had given between m&s, but it was just nowhere near as good as the first 7. i think i only ever got halfway through season 8, and i only watched the first episode of season 9. Quote
-HP- Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 What a piece of pig turd this movie is, jesus fucking christ. Quote
Puddy Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 It's strange, I don't really know what to think of that movie. I was a bit ill and tired when I watched it though... It's not AHMAHAGAD-good anyway. Quote
Chimeray Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Donnie Darko. Didn´t find it all that special... Perhaps I was expecting too much. I´ve seen a shitload of mindfuck videos and was expecting it to top those. Interesting movie nonetheless though, just not wow. Perhaps back in the day... Next up: Being John Malkovich Quote
Duff-e Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 the key to donnie darko is to watch it when you're 15. it's like the movie version of ender's game. Quote

Next up: Being John Malkovich I'm sure you have seen it, but Memento is a good 'mindfuck'. Another notable is Trainspotting. Quote
D3ads Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 Modern Family season 1 and half of season 2, absolutely brilliant! Quote
Zyn Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 'The Mechanic' , aka 'Jason Statham Killing Bad Dudes #583'. Hilarious amount of equipment errors, with microphones often visible in the shot Quote
Froyok Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 Sherlock holmes : a game of shadows Nice movie, but I prefer the first one. This one have a story with less mysterious, and I'm a bit disappointed by the music. Quote
FrieChamp Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 "Intouchables" A lovely, funny French movie. Much recommended! I watched it in German, not sure if there's an English dubbed/subtitled version available (yet). Quote
D3ads Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 The Darkest Hour - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1093357/ It was ok... it's nice to see a film about aliens invading somewhere else other than the US for the second time (the first being District 9). It felt very rushed, at one point the cast were talking about taking a shortcut through the city via the metro tunnels.. I thought "awesome, we get to see some combat in the enormous tunnels.." but no, 5 minutes of action and then cut to them running out of a building nearby... fuuuu.jpg. Even the famous armed forces make no appearance, just some random policemen who get killed instantly. The resistance were a bit ridiculous, mainly for their attire. I lolled at the police car with a stockload of aks in the boot! I think I'd appreciate it more if it was entirely Russian made and 30 minutes longer. 6/10 Quote

This one have a story with less mysterious, and I'm a bit disappointed by the music. I went to see this too in the cinema, a good 4. out of 10. The first one didnt really stand out to me, but it was better than this one (6/10). Because in that movie you could atleast hear zimmers work. Quote
