Zyn Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Saw a little piece called "The Holy Mountain". It's really a movie for stoners, as you need to be high as a chimney before watching it, and then only then it will make sense. Quote
D3ads Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 Holy fuck I liked the last episode of the Walking Dead! I guess that answers my earlier question I recently watched a film called Savior (Saviour) starring Dennis Quaid about the Bosnian War, pretty decent but nothing special. Quote
Skacky Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Saw a little piece called "The Holy Mountain". It's really a movie for stoners, as you need to be high as a chimney before watching it, and then only then it will make sense. I can assure you that even when stoned the movie doesn't make any sense. If you liked it you should watch El Topo and Santa Sangre from the same director. Quote
Zyn Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 And also just watched something that no sane human being should watch: "Cyberbully". I was laughing hard at how inaccurate it is (movie should be called science-fiction really) while getting mad knowing crazy soccermoms and other parental creatures are going to watch it thinking this is how it is to be bullied online. MORALS : THE MOVIE, pretty much. I flipped my desk so bad over this movie, it turned into a perpetual motion engine. Good god... Quote
insta Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 The Running Man was on TV, I watched it. It was good. Quote
Chimeray Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Started watching Terra Nova. First episode was very cool (well technically first 2). The 3rd one is just filler, to establish the characters a bit I suppose... Not too awesome but not bad either. The FX are a bit TV-ish though Quote
Chimeray Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 it gets worse Thanks for the heads-up Too bad though, looked promising. Not blockbuster but at least enjoyable. Quote
Puddy Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Watched half of the first episode... what a nice steaming pile of horseshit it was Quote
Skjalg Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 after the 8th episode that feels like a filler you kind of wanna watch jurassic park instead. (which i did, but its ruined now because of ) Quote
Chimeray Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Saw another episode. Oh what have I done... and now I can´t stop watching. Bleh. They could´ve done so much with it but no... oh no... Now it´s a show about "playing house". Quote
Skacky Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Just watched Lilya 4-Ever. I'm just depressed, man. Quote
Zyn Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Watched another couple of movies: Chillerama, Aah! Zombies!, and Wristcutters. "Chillerama" is a movie within a movie within a movie. It consists of 3 short movies inside the actual movie, all filled with popculture references ... and nothing but toilet-humour (Wadzilla? Come on). I shit you not, it's nothing but references and jokes related to sex, feces, homoerotism, etc. "THIS IS GENERAL BUKKAKE! ENGAGE OPERATION MONEYSHOT!". That moment made me laugh hard though. The short movies are supposed to be homages or parodies of old horror movies, complete with bad special effects and corny dialogue, so if you like that sort of thing you probably feel right at home. The difference is that the old movies are much better than this childish crap "Aah! Zombies!" is what it sounds like; a zombie movie. But it has one very interesting thing going on: we get to view the world through normal peoples eyes and through the zombies eyes. To the zombies, it appears like nothing has changed and that they are just tripping or something, while for non-infected they are walking corpses, up until the revelation that they are infact zombies. "Oooh!". This beds for lots of misunderstandings and hilarity. One of the more original zombie movies I've seen so far. "Wristcutters" .. no it's not about emo-kids entirelly. It's about people ending up in a strange afterlife world when they've taken their own life (through drugs, depression, car-accident, razorblade to the wrist, etc). And this world is devoid of happiness. You can't even smile there. Everything is in saturated colours, depressing, broken down, and very boring. And if you drop anything, it's lost forever. It's a purgatory for suicidal people really. Quite decent movie. Quote
Steppenwolf Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 I watched The Hidden Fortress by Akira Kurosawa a few days ago. It was great action/adventure with lots of comedic moments. Film was a big influence for George Lucas when he wrote the Star Wars script if you didn't know. Quote
