Holy shit, that Breaking Bad finale. SO amazing. I was kinda expecting them to keep up the tension and foreboding and dread that the season had been building up to, but instead they very smartly relieve the tension, solve the major dramas of the season, and give the audience some major pathos and good vibes. It was fucking awesome. And next sunday they're easing straight into Walking Dead, woo.

Fantastic season finale,

got mad chills by the last show of the flower, plus the Two-Face scene with Gus was amazing. Now begins the long sad wait for the last season :G

I have watched Drive this night.

Best.

Movie.

Ever.

My friend and me were totally destroyed and breathless when we go out of the cinema.

It's incredible.

late to the party, but yes - fantastic movie and great soundtrack.

Can't wait for Walking Dead next weekend. I hope AMC didn't fuck the direction over enough to ruin the show though.

Ugh that show went downhill after the first 2 episodes. Hope they actually make something good this time around, cause it started off with great potential.

Finally watched the original Red Dawn, despite the praise I've heard about I'm afraid I thought it was shit.

The storyline is stupid and if the USSR had successfully invaded (that's a big if of course, seeing as the US has never been occupied by a foreign entity) then that would have been the end of America as a capitalist country.. that's why it was a genuine threat during the cold war.

How 6 kids manage to repeatedly defeat highly trained soldiers over and over without taking barely any causalties is beyond me. If it was the other way around (Russians shooting at Americans in the USSR) I'd think it equally as absurd.

Acting..is terrible, it's just about non-existant.

I laughed so hard at the "hinds" at the end, but I guess they did a good job considering they couldn't get hold of the real things.

I'd like to see what becomes of the remake, although they've gone and changed it to North Korean soldiers (what? North Korea has no chance in Hell of invading the US lmao).

I watched Bronson the other day, and it was great. I didn't even acknowledge it was Tom Hardy since I couldn't even recognize him. :megamon:

Plus the soundtrack is awesome (New Order and Pet Shop Boys ftw!!!)

NK > USA Invasion is called "homefront". Go check it out.

Red Dawn is a piece of it's era and reflects the common fear of the US mainstream media back then. Defeating an entire army with a bunch of kids is a typical Hollywood thing and fits the time it was created in. Is that so hard to see?

D3ads, lol.

Speaking of a North Korean Invasion of the US; judging from the background trailers of Homefront, they've actually done an okay job of making it somewhat plausible (unlike Red Dawn). What you mainly need in such a storyline is a shift in global politics where the US gradually loses it's former glory and position of power (primarily through economic problems; the economy is everything), and of course that the opposite happens in North Korea. It's still a bit of a fantasy though, but hey, it's always fun with "what-if"s. :) I haven't played the game but my primary questionmark is; where the fuck is Europe? :P In any case, I'm actually looking forward to seeing the Crytek take on the IP. Things could go very right.
