What have you watched recently?

Watched Max Max in 3d on Sunday. Been mulling it over these past few days and have come to the conclusion that it is a visual masterpiece with a rubbish story. The doom 3 of modern films. 9/10

Just what I always thought about it.

How can you give it an almost perfect score then??

 

 

Because it's fucking amazing? The cinematography, editing, set pieces, style, sound, effects, characters, pacing are all brilliant.

Damn! If this movie had more realism in it then it could do what Blair Witch Project did in the 1999 ( only if people couldn't search on the internet to see if it's a hoax. ) I'm thinking about watching Mad Max though. Everyone says it's freaking awesome and i think i shall give it a go.

Was alright until Rose killed Barney and then it all fell apart and the ending was rubbish. Meh.

Wayward Pines. The show had a great premise but falls short because there is no reason for the protagonist not to just kill everyone in town and leave. It doesn't happen, but instead we get a lot of The Village style fearmongering cult bullshit, courtesy of M. Night Shyalaman.

I just started watching this with my wife. While interesting, seems like there is a lot going on that doesn't need to be there. I'm not a big fan of the main character either. 

 

Also, the whole "Dad just killed a guy! Ok, well time for school!" was sorta.... silly? I get that they need to move the plot a long fairly quick, but it was very akward.

Watched a few things.

House Of Cards, I'm halfway through Season 3 -- must say it doesn't have the teeth Season 2 had.

Guardians Of The Galaxy -- keeping up with the Marvel thing; this was better than I expected, but still too on the silly side for my taste. Enjoyed just because was watching with my gf basically.
I find very annoying they go from outlaws to heroes in a blink of an eye.
Also the art is very fucked up, people are just painted of different colors with shitty props attached to them to look alien, it is so fucking cheap made me gag.

And watching the NBA Finals, go Warriors!

​I think I would have helped if they didn't include the wife/kid, and if his presence in the town was forced due to him needing to be there (for whatever reason) rather than him not being able to leave.

Saw Chappie last night for the 3rd time, WTF I just love this movie. Chappie as a character is fucking awesome, a specially as a gangsta #1 LOVE IT ! And DIE ANTWOORD, thanks to this movie I found about them, I just love it !
