PaulH Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 @Blackdog Yeah I think it was a bad idea for them to spread the Rosie Larson case over two seasons, they lost fans in the second season because they dragged it out, they should have just stuck to a one case per season formula. Not sure what happened as it did get cancelled, and then renewed again, but I'm glad it's back anyway Quote
blackdog Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Not sure what happened as it did get cancelled, and then renewed again, but I'm glad it's back anyway I understood they wanted to make only one case, so I wasn't surprised nor angry about splitting in two seasons and then having the show to end. And unlike comments reported on wiki i'm reading, i was also happy about the finale... since I had formed a vague idea about who would be the murderer. Afterall, it was an actualized Twin Peaks. I hadn't yet read anything about the original series from which it is based off; I see the Danish version does have one case per season... but technically The Killing is half a season, running at 13 ep., making it complete would have been a bit rushed (on the flip side it could have been more engaging). Nysuatro Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Watching Walking Dead, third Season. Not sure why I am still watching this as I am not enjoying it that much Quote
-HP- Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 It gets better towards the end, definitely the best season of the bunch. But yeah, weird series, I still can't make my mind on weather I like it or not. I keep getting back to it, so they're doing some things right. Quote
knj Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Ok, so i did smth stupid, i've just finished last Resident Evil movie, and OMG how bad it was characters frome the game were nothing like those in the movie, acting was bad - strony was avrage at most only positive was that they wanted to take some frome the games like they used parasite (RE4 and up), Jill was working for umbrela (re5) with that red spider on her chest but overall it was pain to watch, and even on the ending they used mutaliscs lol ! -HP- 1 Quote
Zyn Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 Expecting anything good out of a live action Resident Evil movie is hopeless. The 3D-animated ones are a lot better. Anyway, I watched the short animated movie "Garden of Words" last night, and it was 45 minutes of wallpaper-quality scenery porn. It's worth to watch for the art alone. And the story have you guessing how the relationship between the two main characters develop, but you will go "NOW KISS" at one point. Quote
TarrySruman Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 I watched "Headhunters" on Netflix a couple nights ago. That was a damn fun movie Quote
blackdog Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 The only decent RE movie to me was the third. It really seemed to step it up from the previous, then they went back to the formula. I really don't understand why the people making it enjoy making it so fakey. Quote
blackdog Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 (edited) Peter's fistfight in Fringe's S5 episode #8 was great! Edited June 7, 2013 by blackdog Quote

FrieChamp Posted June 12, 2013 Report Posted June 12, 2013 Experts of quality TV entertainment, I've watched following shows in recent times: Dexter, Breaking Bad, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, House of Cards, The Walking Dead. I am currently watching the ongoing seasons of Game of Thrones and Mad Men What other shows can you recommend? I tried Newsroom - but didn't get into it after the first episode. Should I give it another try? P.S. Sitcoms such as HIMYM, New Girl, Modern Family I've seen as well. Not a big 'Community' fan. Quote
Sentura Posted June 12, 2013 Report Posted June 12, 2013 Big Bang Theory? It was good then it was ok and now it's getting better again. You could also try Defiance, though I only watched 2 eps of that. Scifi stuff, kind of interesting Quote
PaulH Posted June 12, 2013 Report Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) Hannibal. Thoroughly recommended, great production values and characters and has just been renewed for a second season. Edited June 12, 2013 by PaulH D3ads 1 Quote
