Serenius Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Hi, Mapcore! I've been working on putting together a portfolio site using Blogger, and I was hoping to get some feedback from the community if possible. http://www.mattbraddy.com It's still a WIP, but I'm interested in receiving some feedback on anything that seems pertinent as I'd like to be able to nail the layout early and be able to simply drop in more content over the course of the next year. I wanted to keep the layout and color scheme fairly simple to put the focus on the work over the website, but I feel it's a little drab at the moment. Also interested in receiving any feedback on some additional things that I should add to each sub-page about the current level posted. Right now I have a video, a summary, description of my role, and screenshots (which I will be updating with better ones soon). All feedback would be much appreciated. I'm hoping to have enough content to qualify for a move to the professional field within the next 12-18 months. Thanks in advance! Quote
-HP- Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Yep, this is some good stuff. I like minimal designs, but the black and white it's a bit too much. Would be awesome to have some sort of banner, I'd ditch the verdana text on the banner. Add a couple more levels with the quality of this one, and it should be enough to prove you got what it takes to apply to a LD position. gogo! Good luck bro. Quote
Serenius Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Posted February 10, 2011 Thanks, HP! I'll continue to play around with the color scheme until I find one that jives well. Quote
Serenius Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Posted March 11, 2011 Last night I added in some additional details to the level description to help convey the design of the map. I'm wondering if it's too much text and should be put into a level abstract, or to leave it up. Quote
