D3ads Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 Is it true that the Russian area of Caspian Border is on fire? Quote

Jenn0_Bing Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Is it true that the Russian area of Caspian Border is on fire? Well yeah, kinda. There is a huge fire on their side of the border but it's outside the playable area, except for jets. Quote
Thrik Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Releasing a beta for Battlefield 3 might be the biggest mistake EA has made with its biggest game this year Quote
insta Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Doing anything at all is often seen as the biggest mistake anybody can do on the internet. - Release a beta, people get upset the beta is not polished/a free version of the final game. - Don't release a beta, people get upset that things aren't as they were in the good old days, when every game had a 128 player enabled fully stable multiplayer beta 6 months prior to release. Vilham Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Except that isn't true, as releasing the Bad Company 2 beta was the best decision they made, the beta was literally flawless with a few server errors. Quote
dux Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 The only issue with BC2 was the terrible map / game mode. Quote
Grinwhrl Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Except that isn't true, as releasing the Bad Company 2 beta was the best decision they made, the beta was literally flawless with a few server errors. But the games launch was worse than BF3's beta in terms of issues. Quote
Puddy Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Firefights in the beta prioritize reflexes over tactics, which is a departure from Bad Company 2. This is not the case with Battlefield 3 as it is now. The version of Battlefield 3 that I spent hours playing last week has weapons and damage that feel like Battlefield Bad Company 2. This, if you aren't sure, is a good thing. Oh thank God. Quote

dux Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 The only real issue was dx9 not displaying the transparent glass texture on the shielded mounted gun. So you couldn't see dick all that you were shooting at with it. Quote

It was a complete disaster, according to the forums, it was the crappiest game ever. And then we patched it and fixed some issues. And now it's like some people think it was perfect from day one. It was the best game ever! Why can't Battlefield 3 be perfect from day one? But I mean [battlefield 3 ] is much better today day one than Bad Company 2 was day one." Quote
PogoP Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Which map did they release? Rush is awesome so that's irrelevant.. But which map was in the BC2 beta? Quote
PogoP Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Oh yeah I hate that map Harvest day was an awesome map, I loved that in BC2! Quote
