Me. and it's fun, just like BF2 but with better graphics, physics and weapon handling. Helicopter controls are way way better hen BF:BC2.

For me and my friends, all 64-player Caspian Border servers lag completely and utterly you see

There are just so many fucking annoyances in the game. the fact you can only get to the menu while you are alive is one of them. I can't even quit the game after a round ends untill the next starts and I can't seem to configure my joystick, I have a Thrustmaster T16000 and the game won't recognize any of the buttons.

They have already fixed the issue with the menu for the release.

So caspian border is pretty flippin awesome. No lag for me, plays smooth on highest settings, pre-order is inevitable.

got a pretty nice rig, eh? the lag I've been experiencing is server-side but the framerate isn't too great either on that map... though I'm pretty picky and need my 60+ fps...

I got an Intel 2600k, AMD 6970 and 8 gig ram and, I haven't checked this for sure, but it feels like 25-40fps on Medium when you're in the middle of caspian. Operation Metro ran just fine on Ultra.

I'm running it on an i7 930, GTX470, with 8 gigs of RAM so I don't think it's any better than your system. It's most likely not running at 60+ fps for me, though it's enough for it to be smooth and it's constant (there's a drop every know and then when a lot of explosions and crap are going off around me.)

Perhaps a different driver set would help? I'm not too sure but with those specs I don't see any reason why you would be getting such low fps on medium.
