I played a couple of sessions on the metro level, but I got really frustrated at the lack of team play so I got in touch with a couple of friends that have the game and we tried to join a server together. But as someone else here mentioned it was impossible to join the same squad once you finally got into a server so we basically spent most our time trying to find each other.

It was really fun those few times we got to "hung out" together and watch each others backs but the fun was always interrupted when one of us died and he had to respawn waaaaaay back again

Check the skybox and you notice it's in Paris. And the EOD bot as Engineer is fun as hell. Just hope the god damn awful steering have been fixed/tweaked in the release build.

I don't get all the whine, I absolutely love it, both the infantry based stuff and obviously also the vehicle based stuff~~. The squad function could really use a rework tho, hate that I can't get in the same squad as my friends just because we didn't join the game together, and the fact that you can't access the menu right after you die is pretty damn annoying as well.

By the way, where the hell did all the Caspian Border servers go? Now that it's finally the weekend and I have time to play it and then they're gone :derp:

Looks good and runs smooth but that's beside the point. Are EA trying their best to fuck this or what?

Those few hours in caspian border were so good its almost scary how much I enjoyed playing it.

Only able to play the metro map so far (no servers running the other one.) It's fun, looks pretty sweet but there's still some issues I have, though I may just need to play more.

Bad company 1 & 2 were the same way. I find that article about Patrick Bach being ashamed of BC2 amusing since some, if not most of the bad things from BC 1 & 2 are still in BF3.

However Im still enjoying the hell out of it. I just cant wait to play a real BF map.

I joined what looked like a low ping server in the server browser, and ended up having the absolute worst experience playing this game yet. Some of it was due to perceived lag, and some of it was just me becoming aware of more issues with the beta. Multiple times I was attempting to run or jump over debris on the floor, getting stuck, rubberbanding on top of it, and then suddenly dying from getting shot by somebody. "Suddenly dying" in general describes every death. Pretty much every single one is jarring. No time to see the bullet warning indicators or the blur, just suddenly the camera's popping up to full standing height so it can play the fall down and reach out animation. This feels really bad and is really frustrating. The only time any death felt fair was when by chance me and an enemy ended up face to face, so I could actually see who was shooting me. This also happened sometimes in Bad Company 2 in close encounters, the difference is in Bad Company 2 the maps were way, way more spread out than Metro and firefights tended to happen at 100 yards or better, where high damage weapons made more sense due to the inaccuracy at those ranges. You land a hell of a lot more shots on target in a map like Metro though.

Also the paddles require a weird accuracy now. Almost every time I revive a teammate I have to shock twice to actually "connect" with their ragdoll and get them back up.
