Tisky Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 More info on it here: http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6317535/ba ... -hands-on/ In Battlefield 3, if the enemy fires a rocket into the back of a tank, only the guy in the rear will be killed, rather than everyone in the tank. A vehicle can now be incapacitated, but the gunners will still be able to fire out when it's at low health; it just won't be able to move anywhere until an engineer repairs it. Yeeeesssssssssss Omg, i´l never ride in the back!!!!!!! FO SHO! Quote
Gloglebag Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Why the fuck would there be a guy in the back, one driver/main gunner and one machine gunner is the way it should be. Quote
arhurt Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Why the fuck would there be a guy in the back, one driver/main gunner and one machine gunner is the way it should be. But then no one would die... the guy in the back must die. Quote
Froyok Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 The sound design in the game is amazing. I always loved the sounds of Battlefield games. This is what suprised me the most on this presentation : the sounds. It's... well... incredibly amazing. I have never heard a game with such a beautiful sound like that. Quote

st0lve Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Why the fuck would there be a guy in the back, one driver/main gunner and one machine gunner is the way it should be.In a lot of battle tanks, there is a driver, commander, gunner and loader. I believe the loader is in the "back" of most designs. The co-ax machinegun is controlled by the gunner, and hatch mounted one is for the commander. Maybe BF3 should come out with some new APC designs, so that the grunts in the front will survive the longest Quote
Tisky Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 The commander sits in the back naturally since the gunner and loader is infront of him by the damn gun! Since the engine is in the "back" and everybody is in the middle of the tank, the commander is probably killed first from a back-attack. Ref: Unless they are talking about an APC and not a tank. Psy Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 So there's still only 4 classes like BC2? Yay! Quote
Grinwhrl Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 So there's still only 4 classes like BC2? Yay! The classes are back to the way they were in 2042! Yay! I love how the support class will have a suppression fire ability; I think when using the bipod? If the enemy team is caught in it, their visual blurs. Quote
dux Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 If the enemy team is caught in it, their visual blurs. Oh god. Get this vision blurring shit out of my games. Quote
Grinwhrl Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 If the enemy team is caught in it, their visual blurs. Oh god. Get this vision blurring shit out of my games. Don't run and gun and plan your tactics This feature will be a great buff for teamwork. Quote
dux Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Run and gun + tactics worked perfectly well in bf2. Why does it need gimping? Quote
Grinwhrl Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Run and gun + tactics worked perfectly well in bf2. Why does it need gimping? The other team working together has abilities to fuck your ass up for CODing. I don't think it will make the player blind like a flash bang for example. Might just slightly prevent the enemy players from wanting to; well many possible things that give the edge for supporting your team. You really dont see how this will make the support class useful and extra fun to play? Either way, when you get shot by any class, your vision gets blurry. And you can still run and gun all day as seen in the stream videos. Quote
Sentura Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 suppression fire shouldn't blur your vision, it should gib you instantly. one might even say instagib you. seriously, suppression fire basically allows no one to move within range without cover. Quote
