What was the very first game you remember playing?

I remember every game on the master system being wtf hard.

When playing outrun europe or the later stages of sonic for example I'd be all like

I remember playing Sega Hot Rod a lot when I was a kid - had a weird 4 player top down cabinet.

I acctually diod some researching and by talking to some ppl, this might be the game. I played it on a arcade machine thou.

This thread makes me feel old.. first game I ever played was Lode Runner. Probably around 1985 or so. Got me into level design; me and my brothers would make more and more difficult levels for each other to complete. Good times...

I think my first memory of playing a video game comes in as a tie between Alley Cat (1984), and riddle of the Sphinx (1982) I must have played them when they were on their way into obscurity, as I was one when Alleycat came out, and no-one in my family owned any video game stuff, until I was about 7.
