Sentura Posted September 16, 2013 Author Report Posted September 16, 2013 Trying to play the newest Hitman, but holy fuck it's hard with its horrible UI and game design. Blood Money UI was bad, but this just takes the cake. Why can't I choose when to do a fake surrender instead of the game telling me to? Why is everything when it comes to people noticing or not noticing you up to arbitration rather than the actual environment? Enemies have 20/5 vision or something, because they can detect me beyond the range of natural human being. It feels so unnaturally done and plays in a similar fashion. Covering my face requires a power. My bad, I thought all I literally had to do was to take up my hand over my face to cover it OR EVEN JUST LOOK THE OTHER WAY. People are 100% suspicious, which is maybe not so unnatural - except they are only suspicious OF YOU. Shit like this gets to me, the same rules that apply to the player should apply to NPCs, otherwise it's unnatural. Quote

AlexM Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yisssssssssss. Motha fukin high res (1680x1050) dungeon keeper running in OpenGL on windows 7 without any dosbox. Awesome, I just finished a new playthrough a couple months back. I've never even tried any of the sequels. Are they worth playing? Quote
dux Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Dungeon Keeper 2 is certainly worth your time, but it's not as good in my opinion. Quote
Vilham Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 DK2 is fucking amazing. Shut ur hole dux! Quote
dux Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 I didn't say it was bad I said it wasn't as good as the original. It lost a lot of its subtle character in place of the "look at the mistress and her hot ass". Quote
Skacky Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 The game is also much slower and doesn't have the charm of DK1. The graphics are still incredibly nice though and some of the mission designs are awesome. Quote
Taylor Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Why play the old Dungeon Keeper when you can play the knew one with free-to-play energy mechanics? You guys are so elitist. I played Gone Home. I didn't really. dux 1 Quote
Taylor Posted September 22, 2013 Report Posted September 22, 2013 I bought Humble Bundle 9 for Mark of the Ninja and Trine 2 and did what I always do after buying a bundle and proceeded to play none of the games in it. I did, however, realise I could link all my past purchases on Steam and one of those was Cave Story+, which I decided I should have completed and, relevant to this thread, played. I have played the original but have never past the house where you meet Curly Brace. But now I've played it about twice as far and, damn, this is a lot darker than I was expecting. I'm already in love with the universe, though. Starts off with you teleporting from a rabbit city to a corridor of dragon eggs fighting nauseatingly cute enemies. Now the city is empty, almost everyone I have met is dead, and the dragons that aren't dead in their smashed eggs are walking around with their eyes bleeding. Holy shits. Sentura 1 Quote
D3ads Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 Somebody posted a video of System Shock 2 gameplay and I want to play it again now... so quick question, does the XP/win7 patch work fine with the original 1999 version of the game? I heard it wasn't official and some people still have issues... Quote
