Erratic Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 finished infamouse 2 ! ... why did they have to switch the voice actor and ... why are half the sound fx missing and ... why is the music only playing 1 of ( of presumably 5 ish ?! channels ) good game ruined by everything sound ! 6/10 Aside from the basic mechanics of shooting, running, and jumping there's almost nothing good about it. Probably the most abhorrent set of characters I can remember. Boils down to an unlikeable asshole simulator. Why did I finish that game. Quote
-HP- Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 infamous 1 was pretty damn good tho, guess I wont give the second a chance, it was on my backlog. Quote
Warby Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 first one is excellent second one i wanted to like but just cant because of the audio crap ... story conclusion/choice is good though ! Quote
Vilham Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Yeah the audio was odd, it was very quiet half the time with nothing happening. Other than that it was great. Quote
Mazy Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 I really liked Infamous 2, and though I agree that there was some weird audio bugs here and there, then it didn't change the fact that it was, much like the first game, one of the best super hero games around. Quote
knj Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 i loved the first one, havn't played much of this one, but i think i will like it alot, it still has that twisted fantasy art and feel witch i just love, Quote
ElectroSheep Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Well. i'm playing Deus Ex HR. I really love it... then I met the first boss... WTF!! Quote
-HP- Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Just kill the bosses, move on, and pretend it didn't happen. Quote
Corwin Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 i loved the first one, havn't played much of this one, but i think i will like it alot, it still has that twisted fantasy art and feel witch i just love, Didn't manage to appreciate this game. Even forgiving the fact that it looks quite bad (never stopped me from enjoying games), the gameplay never really quite fell into place for me: the platforming was a bit too old-school and simple, the enemies were too rock-paper-scissor like, meaning you usually have only one single way of defeating an enemy, which makes encounters more about repeating the same process over and over, hardly felt like I had any choice. Some environments were interesting, and they had some cool ideas, but always the scale of the environments and their emptiness resulted in the feeling that something was off. Leveling up took ages and the rewards were disappointing, and the secrets/bonus items didn't make any sense: why would I want to pick up bottles that don't do anything, or memories that don't really make me understand anything better? Won't complete this game! Quote

Izuno Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Finally got it yesterday, won't say much - this shit is HOT ! love every second of it Yes!!! I started playing in Dec...then got totally sidetracked by work and SWTOR (shuddup! it was for work...really). Now I'm squeezing in some B:AC again. I think I'm very close to the end. Let's hope Batman: Gotham City (orwhatever game is next in this series) is even better. Quote
Grinwhrl Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 Still playing SWTOR, haven't stopped. nor played anything else since the week before it released Quote
syver Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 playing the darkness 2. it's fun, but the field of view makes it absolutely nauseating. is it that hard to include an option to change it? if you've spent 3-4 years on a game, why not spend a little more time to make sure the game isn't experienced as complete shit because of a stupid thing like FOV? if not for their players, they should at least do it for themselves. Puddy Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 Word. FoV is actually so important. It's a filter which you view the entire game through (and can really prevent players from enjoying the game if it's a bad case). Luckily, there are usually config-files that can be used to get around very low defaults... but not always, and they don't always work flawlessly (reset after cutscenes/game restart etc). Quote
