I finally got past that problem area in Dead Space 2, pretty much just spammed all my guns in quick succession plus stasis and I still only just made it through the door! Enjoying the game again now, up to chapter 10 where you're

back on the Ishimura again, feels strange being back there so soon, like the feeling I had when playing HL: Opposing Force.

. One thing that really urks me about DS2 is how bodies disappear when there's a lot of them in an area, so you lose any pickups they once had... this happens pretty often when you're fighting off about 20 enemies at a time and don't have the time to stomp corpses because you're too busy shooting limbs off or pressing "x" to not die until your hands bleed :/

Currently on an Uncharted crusade. The GF just played through the first two with my guidance and it was actually pretty spectacular just watching those games as opposed to playing (already done UC2 twice, once with nothing but tranquilisers) and seeing someone else's reactions to the epic awesomeness that is the entirety of the second game.

Currently playing through Uncharted 3 myself now that they've sorted out the aiming, very much loving it and the humour seems to have been dialled up even more after UC2 which was already a big increase over UC1. Why so many developers of today still struggle to understand what companies like LucasArts figured out in the 80s and 90s — that humour will make your game stick in the hearts and minds of people for years to come — is beyond me. Give me more funny games!

I'm playing serious sam 3, or at least trying to. Probably the worst level design I've ever seen in a game, Ive gotten stuck in each level I've played.

But it's fun because the core gameplay is pretty much the same as the old serious sams, but some of the new stuff they added in is very questionable design wise which almost made me give up on it (scripted sequences that take away camera control, forced slower movement on interior levels, etc)

tweak the systemsdata.xml file found in ss3bff/programs/apps/userconfigs/tweakdata/configs, after 9 hours of googling on my "rig" i found these settings to drastically improve the settings :

c_us_screenarea = [8,8,0,0,1]

view_fieldof_tweakdata = [94]

ultrarastering=8

rechaching=no

widespread_aaoo=7

now just reboot your rig and get ready to feel the power xD

Well 3 minutes after updating to 4.00 my PS3 exploded and I can't get it to turn on longer than a second. Was a 1st generation 1 PS3 with PSX/PS2 support - will be missed. So I am no longer playing Dark Souls or Disgaea 4. And, because I got screwed over on my stick, I can't play many fighting games at the moment either. #firstworldproblems

Still playing Skyrim but now I'm in full Draedic I don't feel much urge. Perhaps Lydia can get full dragon or something, since my old Ebony set is so heavy she can't carry much else, but she doesn't really do much these days except require babysitting. I heard she doesn't level up, which would explain a lot. Maybe I'll start again and use magic as I've cast about 3 different spells with this character tops, though apparently that's still enough to become the Archmage.

And still playing DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu. The only problem with the original game is it's too long, but all the shorter arrange modes contain so much bullet cancelling it's like Ikaruga with one bullet color.

Skyrim didn't captivate me so I skipped directly to Arkham City.

I'll wait for more mods before I jump back in to Skyrim.
