I finally bought Portal2, finished it yesterday. Awesome stuff, superawesome even.

been playing killing floor alot lately. still impressed by the leveldesign (especially the atmosphere - Wyre for instance, looks like a painting), the oldskool gameplay and the amount of fun i can have for a few bucks. im hating on the slo mo's and the taunts though..

Pleh... killing floor lasted a couple of hours and after that it's just a snooze imo

After finding a good defensive position, firing away at the slowly moving horde becomes a chore. It painfully lacks the interesting special infected mechanics and the need for movement found in the L4D-series...

Personally, I've been playing through Portal 2 again with commentary. I can't stop laughing at all the lines Truly great characters in that game!

did you play it on suicidal? deffinitly got more challenge out of KF then i got out of l4d or l4d2 tbh... i agree with you though when you speak of poor special infected mechanics and hordes becoming a chore (though on harder settings this is no more a problem for me).

anyway, time to buy portal 2 since everybody's saying it's golden

The Tomb Raider games were on steam sale this weekend so I bought Anniversary.

Really enjoying it so far (I started playing those games from 3 so I never played the first). I forgot how cool the animations are, not the realistic MoCap stuff that takes forever.

I'm also HOMM3 fanboy here... HOMM 5 was a huge step back towards it from HOMM 4, but not nearly as close...

I'm very interested to hear how has HOMM VI turned out.
