-HP- Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 Wtf, there was a terminator game released last year? lol It doesn't look bad from that video either, actually. might check it out on a steam deal eventually for sure. Quote

Yeah, I guess they had a really tight budget to the point where there was none left for marketing but yeah, should def check it out when it's on sale Quote
-HP- Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 I'm started playing Hitman 2. Loved the missions of the first one, and this one doesn't disappoint either. It's a shame they had to inprovise their cinamtics, you can deffo tell they tried to cut some budget there, but i'd rather see it done there than the game itself. Just finished Mission 4 in Mumbai, the environment art in this game is amazing, really immersive. Also playing Ori Will of the Wisps. I know many of you don't like platformers, but this game is just a delight. Music, art, level design, pacing everything is perfectly balanced. Really recommend picking this up on steam, sometimes you legit get goosebumps when the art, music and story just come together. I played about 1/4 of Doom E, need to go back to it. Reason I stopped is because I've got it on PC, and after a whole day of sitting on my PC for work, being in the same spot is the last thing I wanted to do, and playing Doom with a controller is a capital sin, so... Also finished RE3 remake. A disappointment if you compare it to the quality bar that RE2 remake set. Specially the lenght of the campaign. If you compare it to the original RE3, it's also a bit disappointing, many puzzles are gone, some areas are not here either like the clock tower and gardens, and even the ones that were remade are shorter. It's a bit more actony, and less survival horror. With all that being said, I've had to say the campaign is really well paced, graphics are amazing specially on PC, sounds is awesome too if you play it on a 5.1 setup. I'd way till the price comes down to around 30 bucks to get it. Been trying to play a few more indies, this one really stoop up, A Short Hike. And sure enough it's really well made. FMPONE Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 I’ve been playing Half-Life: Alyx... slowly. It’s a bit of an undertaking in terms of a grueling, intense, sensory overwhelming and challenging campaign and also a slog to get all the VR stuff set up and running. Not exactly a relaxing plug and play experience. A great game tho. Really spectacular once you’re in the rhythm of playing it. jd40 and -HP- 2 Quote

A Short Hike is amazing, really inspiring game made by one dude! He gave a great GDC talk this year: Radu, Zarsky and -HP- 3 Quote
Beck Posted April 22, 2020 Report Posted April 22, 2020 I loaded up Sea of Thieves over the weekend since I was too tired to play something intense. Actually found myself really enjoying just cruising around and finding treasure - Helps that the game is beautiful to look at at time too. That ocean tech tho Couldn't help but take a few screens: Interfearance, Zarsky, Squad and 1 other 3 1 Quote
blackdog Posted April 22, 2020 Report Posted April 22, 2020 Completed the story bits of South Park The Fractured But Whole with my partner. Didn't somewhat feel as good as The Stick of Truth, despite I like the superhero theme more; in legth it felt better (the previous had some padding). At first I really disliked the new approach to combat in this second game, but once I understood it and the fights required some actual strategy, I got to like it a lot. Not sure what we'll play now... always wanted to finish Ilo-Milo on my X360 and there are a couple games supporting couch-coop other than more LEGO games I already purchased. Wondering if to go for simple adventure games and just take decisions together... otherwise not sure when I'll get round to play those XD On my own I have gone back to Spider-Man for the challenges and manage to 100% and get the outstanding scores on all the challenges for the base campaign... the ones in the DLCs not sure if I'll manage, they were quite tough. Need to go back to The Last Of Us that I've put aside again. -HP- and Zarsky 2 Quote
Minos Posted April 22, 2020 Report Posted April 22, 2020 Been playing some Animal Crossing here and there, so damn relaxing~ My favorite activity is to wake up Blathers -HP- 1 Quote
AlexM Posted April 22, 2020 Report Posted April 22, 2020 Started the witcher3. It's cool but it's not really keeping my attention so far. Is there a point where it's supposed to hook you? I'm about 6 hours in. Not to say it's a bad game in the slightest. If anything maybe I'm being too impatient. Quote
Radu Posted April 24, 2020 Report Posted April 24, 2020 I picked up A Short Hike after I watched the GDC talk and it really worked me up towards the end. It's so innocent and simple. It reminded me a lot of my childhood, spending the summers at the country side and playing about, climbing over fences and whatnot. This one hour experience has more value to me than most of the 15+ hrs games I've played lately. Hmmm Beck, Zarsky and Squad 3 Quote

A big company would never make a game like this, yet it manages to leave a long lasting effect in you. Quote

Hmmm Fuck it, I'm getting it now It's been on my wishlist for a while, but the pixelated artstyle was the only thing holding me back so far, as I'm not a huge fan of it personally. I've been playing a lot of local coop games lately, Guacamelee 2 (really enjoyed the first one years ago) and Overcooked so far. Overcooked is so much fun in (local) coop, that I immediately bought the sequel as well. Next up is probably Hidden In Plain Sight and Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2. Radu 1 Quote

I kinda liked Witcher 3 from the very start since I knew what was coming for me from the previous games so I really can't tell where it starts getting awesome. But once after you start knotting the threads of the bigger plot line it really starts to get you more invested in it. My friend also had the first impression of Witcher 3 of being not really his type of game but he said he really started to enjoy it after playing for a while. So I'd guess definitely once you get to the big city of Novigrad. Quote
