Seldoon182 Posted January 13, 2011 Author Report Posted January 13, 2011 God bless Minos isn't around he would talk about my boobies and the fact that I'm a man in a woman body! Quote
D3ads Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Looks great! But is anybody else also tired of seeing Michelle Rodriguez being casted as the tough soldier girl? Yeah it's really old, in SWAT and Avatar she's basically the same person I Got a boner. Even though I'm kinda bored with america being invaded all the time it still looks good. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1093357/ Quote
Froyok Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Just seen the third's trailer... Wow. Quote
Izuno Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Eh I don't mind Michelle Rodriguez being in this. Her character felt a little odd in Avatar but I attribute that to crappy writing (no offence Mr. Cameron...i still saw your opus in the theatre 3 times and somehow i have the blue-ray ). As mentioned earlier in this thread, it has a District 9 vibe going for it. My only hope is that if everything about the movie is great, I want the cinematography to be not so tight like in District 9. Something this epic needs to let us see the scope of the action. Judging by the trailer I'm guessing it won't be a problem, but shit you never know. Quote
deceiver Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Yeah, so avoid this. Was a bit shit finally. It doesn't deliver on the epicness and emotion of the first trailer. Great action and effects, but super clichéd/cheesy military bravado story. District 9 is SO much better in every way and Battle LA doesn't come close to it. Quote
Grinwhrl Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Whaa, come on man, I thought it was really good, but I like military stories. I wasnt expecting much after reading some reviews, but they are wrong in my opinion. It was very similar to Blackhawk Down. Certain things in the movie could have been better, like more squads of marines would have been nice. If you like war movies and shooters, you will probably like this movie. I enjoyed district 9 just as much as this. They both do their own things, although district 9 had more character, I give it that, but Battle had way more action sequences just as well done. Quote
Serenius Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 A big congratulations to Battle: Los Angeles to be the first movie I've ever fallen asleep to watching in a theater (and then woken up wondering when it would finally be over). Amazing how a big budget film gets so wrapped up in shaky cams, explosions, and more flying dust than every level of BFBC2 combined that they make it impossible to follow what's going on in every action scene (except the final one, thankfully). e-freak Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 I couldn't follow the story through. Started surfing Mapcore and Facebook half-way in, only to get even more lost with the story and annoying everyone around with push-notifications Quote
Minos Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 A big congratulations to Battle: Los Angeles to be the first movie I've ever fallen asleep to watching in a theater (and then woken up wondering when it would finally be over). That happened to me when I watched Transformers. Quote
dux Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 I got a brain tumour when I watched Transformers. Quote
