Also: Lighting is horrible and sometimes the Facials just look over-the-top. Actors playing they have something to hide will always look the same, so this is kind of missing the point for me.

How do you know that? This looks somewhat more advanced than the Oblivion "persuasion" system, so I don't see why this would be the case.
