PaulH Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 All mods are done for free Pogo, doesn't mean people can't have opinions on them. But yeah I was only joking anyway, never said I wasn't looking forward to playing it Quote
knj Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 sure but i'd even take a half-ready (GET IT) multiplayer demo or some shit over nothing. i mean it could even be done in episodes. i'm not complaining because it's free, but i'm definitely losing interest. this, you know it is always better have smth smaller but finished, than smth EPIC but unplayable and worthless in some ways Quote
PogoP Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 Yeah I understand, I just hate seeing the torrent of hate all the time. I know it's annoying having to wait but I think you guys will enjoy it when its out. And an MP demo would have been rather cool I guess, just to whet people's appetites! But then again they are a small dev team and may not have the resources to focus on that, when they could be polishing the final game. Quote
dux Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 lol so are they going to update their engine to unreal 4 soon Quote

Thrik Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 Even Unreal Engine 3 wasn't out when BM:S began development. Quote

A "lite" mp version of the mod released earlier wouldn't hurt Quote
Marvin.Star Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 MMmm... I really like how this mod is looking, hopefully I feel like playing it when its done . Quote

Sprony Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Who cares about it's age? It's about gameplay. For me, only a couple of titles surpassed or came close to the original Half Life and that's 14 years ago. Graphics don't mean dick if the game itself is bad. I'm surprised about this update though. I had given up on this mod a while back. Now they made me hopefull again. It's like being constantly cockteased Quote

I had given up on this mod a while back. Now they made me hopefull again. It's like being constantly cockteased I think the key thing with BM:S is that it sits on the right side of the 'when games started to look timeless' line. There's a reason few people replay 3D games from pre-2000 and that's because many of them look absolutely atrocious now, including HL1. However well-produced games after that point tend to look quite decent and always will, including HL2. The important thing about BM:S is that it comes out, because even if its graphics don't match the latest standards it's always going to look pretty good. I'm glad they're taking their time to get it right because I'm sure if they released earlier builds we'd be disgusted due to areas being completely unfit for play. Quote
