Jetsetlemming Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 If you like Gothic and Oblivion you'll like Nehrim, it's like a meeting of the two made by a bunch of really good German modders. They change the RPG system, with Gothic style trainers and much slower skill ups by practice, and no skill tie-ins to stat increases, and they revamp the UI to be more like Morrowind's instead of Oblivion's big consoley lists. The storyline is much more subdued and less EPIC DRAMA WORLD ON THE LINE!: You've been selected to go to Hogwarts be trained to be a wizard by the illegal council of mages, who are in hiding under a fairly asshole monarch. Peril ensues, as you've been recruited, like it or not, into a bunch of outlaws. Also everyone's racist against elves. Quote
Bunglo Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 I bought the game of the year edition (or something like that) of Morrowind and Oblivion on Steam last year so I have all of the expansions. Guess I'll play through them all, I have Morrowind set up with MGE so I can play it at 1920x1080. Only played 10 minutes or so but when I have more time I'm planning on getting into it. Quote
Mr. Happy Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 I'm really liking that plains area "The High King of Skyrim has been murdered. In the midst of this conflict, a far more dangerous, ancient evil is awakened." Oblivion can be summed up the same way! Quote

-HP- Posted June 15, 2011 Author Report Posted June 15, 2011 Oblivion can still look amazing if correctly modded, I have to play this again (and finish it this time around) Quote
Endzeit Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 Which mod is that? Looks awesome, want to play it now Or Skyrim Quote

Bunglo Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 I'm trying to get through Morrowind and Oblivion before Skyrim comes out. Morrowind looks absolutely awful and I always exit before I manage to deliver that package to that guy in that town because some worm/leech thing or giant rat kills me. Quote

My tip: hang around in the start village for a while and do the quests there before starting to explore thw world. It will provide you with some basic skills and gear as preparation for your big adventures. Also when you have the Tribunal expansion installed some assassin will try to kill you the first or second time you sleep. When you kill him you can loot pretty decent light armor from his corpse that will make your survival easier. Quote
