D3ads
Christopher Nolan has revealed that the title of his next Batman movie will be The Dark Knight Rises. The director disclosed the name of his third superhero picture in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, but ruled out the possibility of The Riddler as the story's villain. "We'll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we'll be introducing some new ones," he said of The Dark Knight Rises. Nolan said that he has reached an agreement with Warner Bros not to make the movie in 3D, instead opting to film with high-definition cameras designed for the IMAX format. Christian Bale, Sir Michael Caine and Tom Hardy will star in The Dark Knight Rises, due out in cinemas in 2012. Minos
Sorry but I think these Batman movies are among the most overrated movies of the 2000s. :embarrassed: Tim Burton's Batmans FTW!
PogoP
They are good but yeah, I fell asleep in The Dark Knight which doesn't exactly say much..
deceiver
Sorry but I think these Batman movies are among the most overrated movies of the 2000s. :embarrassed: Tim Burton's Batmans FTW! I dunno man, I really love the more mature, realistic and serious tone of the reboot. I re-watched the Burton one with the Penguin last year and I found it ridiculous and too much of a joke. It was cool when I was younger, but now...eh.
Corwin
Yeah, I watched the two first Tim Burton's and they were quite laughable, and the third one I stopped after a few minutes. Didn't like Batman Begins but the Dark Knight was cool thanks to the Joker. Batman is nothing without that guy!
twiz
Dark Knight was awful I'll take mino's comment one further and say it is THE most overrated film I've ever seen. My problem with it is they give it a serious/realistic tone, then all this stupid shit happens that makes no sense. Like people tethered to airplanes and being yanked out of a window by it. Batman Begins was far superior IMHO, since ridiculous shit doesn't happen constantly. And the plot was much more interesting, straightforward, and coherent. Joker was the only thing that was decent about DK, and well, Heath is dead.
skdr
They are good but yeah, I fell asleep in The Dark Knight which doesn't exactly say much.. Wow. Dark Knight is easily one of the best movies ever.
-HP-
Dark Knight was awesome! Popcorn movie or not, i had a awesome time watching it, isn't that what matters?
Steppenwolf
Highly overrated indeed. The Dark Knight is a clusterfuck imo. I don't like how they tried to force depth and meaning into the story. It's supposed to be a popcorn flick god damnit. Ironicaly this seems why it gets so much praise. But it's just wrong. There are way better action films and there are way better films with meaning. All the hype is created by teenagers who don't know shit and probably refuse to watch anything from before 2005. Evert
I enjoyed it I also like atleast one movie from before 2005 (independence day) I hope this will be just as awesoem.
FrieChamp
I thought "Batman Begins" was mediocre, but "The Dark Knight" is really cool. What do I know though, I'm just a teenager caught inside a man's body...
Taylor
I liked Batman Begins more, the Dark Knight would've been better if it hadn't tried to throw so much stuff in it. Both were good, though.
e-freak
I liked them both. Really one of the better Comic-"reinterpretations". Then again I also liked the new Spiderman movies and everyone seems to hate them, so consider me a teenager as well.
Grinwhrl
I never liked Batman until Batman Begins/Dark Knight. Ninja Turtles FTW

It's supposed to be a popcorn flick god damnit. That's my grudge with Christopher Nolan. While I enjoyed Inception I thought the plot was too convoluted and fuck, it's just a popcorn movie . I think he could learn a thing or two with District 9! Sorry to derail the thread but that's my definition of a fun movie: it's funny, it's clever and best of all, it's not pretentious.
