robert.briscoe Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Always, always ALWAYS check to see if your site works in Internet Explorer! Almost 50% of people use it, and right now it looks like the menu text is a bit knackered in IE8... looking more closely i see you used PNGs which are a bit ropey in IE. Quote
Psy Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Unfortunately, Rob's right. Even though IE is a huge pain in the arse you can fix your site using conditional css and HTML so that you can get the site working properly in IE but still have it remain the same in anything else. For instance, you could add this to the head of your html. So if the browser is IE it'll load up that stylesheet in addition to your normal stylesheet. Then, for the empty IE stylesheet, you can start to add the classes which are causing issues and tweak them until the site at least looks functional. Quote
General Vivi Posted October 13, 2010 Author Report Posted October 13, 2010 Thanks for the heads up! I keep forgetting to check IE XD! I'll make some changes and updates tonight. I'll most likely go through and save all my images to be smaller in filesize. Also thanks for the code snippet psy! Do you guys know if I should use TGA's instead of png's? (10-14-2010) Edit : changed up background and main images to not be pngs so the site will work better in IE. Still need to switch certain images from the professional section. Quote
