-HP- Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Loved the last one. How do you work on your perspectives? I know at the moment it's all "wonky", but I can tell it's a stylized option, which is great. But do you start with just a drawn line art, photo or like a simple 3d? Quote
cincinnati Posted September 22, 2010 Author Report Posted September 22, 2010 i guess you could say the perspectival distortions are ways of kind of dislocating the center of the image and giving it multiple centers and/or multiple references in time. or, in the case of the image with the pinkish arch 2 up, the perspective does some of the same shifting that the center band of stones does on the street, in addition to setting things up compositionally in the fore/mid/background. for this l4d stuff, pushing the perspective without breaking it hopefully conveys a little unease. i'm glad you recognize intent in that. not everybody does. this one relies on a photo pretty heavily, except that the original was taken during the day and contained somebody's wife leaning against the wall (and no zombies running down stairs)... Em' Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Loving this last ! Very cool atmosphere, it really tells a story I think. Quote
Em' Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 You should try to animate this stuff in After effect or flash. Quote
cincinnati Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 i've actually thought of that, but i'm afraid i'd be terrible at animating convincing human movement. Quote
Em' Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 But it would be very impressive and could be a good stuff in a portfolio. Since Flash CS4, there is a bones tool : never used it but it looks quite easy Quote
cincinnati Posted October 5, 2010 Author Report Posted October 5, 2010 what i've been working on since that last drawing. beginning of an experiment with the comic form. not sure what will come of it. Quote
mike1084 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Seriously, I am amazed. You really have a lovely style, as has been said before, and I wouldn't even be able to make such beautiful things without any pre-set theme, so to speak. Let's just say that I suck at drawing, but you, you are amazing! Keep up the good work! Quote
cincinnati Posted October 21, 2010 Author Report Posted October 21, 2010 that was nice of you to join a forum to say something like that. thanks. Quote
