Tisky Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Maybe people got bitten, ran away and took shelter, then became zombies.. I loved the ending how tha hell will he get out of that tank alive, but i bet it got the keys in it so he will just drive it away.. I also hate that chick from Prison Break, the wifey. Cannot stand that woman! Quote
D3ads Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Right so if I've got this right, this premieres tomorrow at 10pm on FX in the UK? Quote
FrieChamp Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 It's good and I want to see more but the fact that the plot idea is taken straight from 28 days later leaves a bitter taste. Quote
Steppenwolf Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 It's good and I want to see more but the fact that the plot idea is taken straight from 28 days later leaves a bitter taste. The Walking Dead comic was released before 28 Days Later in America. And even considering the earlier British release it would have been impossible to rip off the idea in such a short time. Just a coincidence that both have a similar beginning. Quote

D3ads Posted November 6, 2010 Report Posted November 6, 2010 Well this was pretty damn good, the visual effects were really well done for a TV show, like film quality! The acting from the lead was good too, I felt like he really threw himself into the part after waking up in the hospital. I always wanted to get into the comic series because I heard great things about it but I'm not a fan of B&W artwork in graphic novels. I have to admit a little tear crossed my eye when he said to the "female torso" 'I'm sorry this happened to you...' before blowing her face off. Roll on next week! Quote

Furyo Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 I think AMC has hit another cult classic wonder with this one, I was totally blown away by the visual quality and acting in the first episode. Takes over from Breaking Bad very nicely Quote

Rly? For me it felt cheesy as fuck, and unnecessary! The Walking Dead touches a lot on the human aspect of zombies, sure they're walking torsos that want to feed on your bodily organs but they were once human and seem to retain some of their memories. Day Of The Dead had this with "Bub". Quote
Mazy Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/11/08/the ... more-92155 Just saw episode 2, so good! Quote
Wesley Tack Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 Saw episode 2 as well, and I fear I might give this show up within the next two weeks. Don't get me wrong, there are some really cool moments in it but I've seen this type of shows one too many times to get too attached to them anymore. This show for instance reminds me too much of Jericho http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0805663/ which some of you might have seen. It started of with a nice premise but after a couple episodes they kept dragging on and on and I just didn't like it anymore (but I kept watching all through season 1 for the hopes it would get better). Since that show I learned not too get too attached to shows anymore and even movies, if they don't keep me interested long enough I quit them these days, time is too precious The main thing that keeps me going at this point is that Frank Darabont is the writer/creator of it, so I hope his writing will make it work where other shows failed. Steppenwolf Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 The Walking Dead only has 6 episodes and it rocks so far. Jericho pretty much sucked from the beginning because of shitty production values, bad actors and horrible script. But that's the big difference between shows from a premium cable network and shows from a regular network. When something has AMC or HBO written over it then you can be sure of high production values and great scripts. Just look at HBO's new show Boardwalk Empire. It's like watching a movie (and a pretty great one). Quote
dux Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 I wonder when they will make band of brothers with zombies. Quote
