Em'
Hello Mapcore I present you my portfolio with the best of my work, I would like to have feedbacks on it. I questionning myself about the visibility on the menu, let me see what you think ! http://simon-aublet.com/ Maybe I could find a tip to indicate the category of each menu button ? PS : and if you see mistakes, please, notice me where ^^ Thank you !
Evert
Get rid of the sounds!!!! I think the menu can work, if there's less to choose from. And by that, I mean a lot less, 3-4 or something. Group stuff together. Sketches001, Sketches002, illustrations. Just add it all to one 2d category, same goes for 3D of course. The labels doesn't make sense for me as a viewer, (Neighbourhood life etc.). I have no idea what is behind that, which is not very good in a portfolio. Some solid stuff you've got there, but you have to click every link to find it which is super tedious

By the way, you don't like my sound ? Maybe you're right, it's kind of useless gadget ! The idea to grouping stuff, why not, I did that because I don't want to surchage the pages and because I want to show a lot of things. Em'
I updated my menu. I removed the sound RollOver and I gathered up my buttons by category (3D, 2D and graphic arts). Do you think this is sufficient for understanding? http://emfromkraland.olympe-network.com/
Zeta
I found the moving menu a little annoying although I liked the roll overs. Apart from that I like the design and style of the website. Good content as well, especially liked the TF2 train model.

Apart from that I like the design and style of the website. Good content as well, especially liked the TF2 train model. Thank you ^ ^ These models are not my only models on the site there are many others but I still need to add photos on the site. The menu movement is my choice because I had planned to add all my work as and when. I need a lot of slots and the movement is the solution I chose. Anyway thank you for your opinion ^ ^

cincinnati
100% agree about the neighborhood life series. beautiful drawings. the 2d work, in general, is great. on the other hand, the man bust doesn't match the quality of those drawings at all. it just looks kind of alien to me. Psy
I truly don't understand why you did the side-menu in Flash instead of HTML/CSS...but I like the work and I'm slightly jealous at how much better your Lighthouse model is compared to the one I made. Em'
thanks froyok for feedbacks ! But in fact, there is no secret, put you hands in paint and draw with your finger : result will be awesome ^^ even if use too much pen Atelierz, are you talking about the drawing of the Claude Monet bust ? or the work called "man bust" ? I can reverse colors in forst case. In second case, i don't know what to do because i kind of like my second bust ^^ Psy : the flash menu is because i wanted to create a lot of pages and because a swf is joined to all the pages, i just have to modify source file and don't have to change my menu on 25 pages and how dare you say that my lighthouse is better than yours, mine is tiny and ugly, but well, you willsee that in few days Thanks ! Nice to have feedbacks
cincinnati
talking about man bust, not the monet bust. i just think the drawings/paintings are stellar... i'm familiar with the bust from wip shots you've shown...and to be honest, when i first hit the link to your portfolio, that was immediately recognizable, and i obviously wasn't as interested in your portfolio as i should have been, because i didn't make it to those drawings until froyok posted the link to them. don't take just my word for it, i'm just telling you my individual experience.
