D3ads Posted October 4, 2010 Author Report Posted October 4, 2010 FUCK YES, SHE'S DEAD! After several retries I finally managed it... I had to stab the damn X button with one finger whilst holding the controller in the other hand, it fucking hurt my bastard index finger but I got her to change! That's some horrible coding right there, fuck sake I hate QTE! I've saved at the town hall now but I'm going to go back and try again because I ended up using all my health apart from a serum... Serenius Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Finally sat down with the Halo Reach campaign again last night on Heroic and went from mission 1 (lost my save game somehow) all the way to the first space mission and the corvette mission right afterwards. Elites using the powerups like armor lock just simply isn't fair on heroic. Quote
ElectroSheep Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Playing Crysis Warhead. I prefer Crysis... Quote
syver Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Castlevania: lords of shadow. pretty fun so far, good pacing and variation. just hoping it lasts (which is usually not the case for these kind of games). Quote
ChopperDave Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 just finished red dead redemption (finally) and i must say i think its quite overrated ! Sigh . Well, I tried. At least it sold a few copies. Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 I haven't played RDR but those videos of cougar people and donkey ladies and flying people flapping their arms makes it certainly look like the price of admission to me. I'd get a copy but then F:NV is about to come out... Quote
Mazy Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 just finished red dead redemption (finally) and i must say i think its quite overrated ! Sigh . Well, I tried. At least it sold a few copies. Haha, don't worry about it, Warby is usually like this. Unless there's Japanese school girls with cat ears in it then he won't like it Still my GOTY anyway, although it's getting massive resistance from Civ V, in my opinion the best Civ to date. Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 I like Civ 5 but there are a lot of things still completely impenetrable, despite everyone saying it's so streamlined and how information given to the player is optimized. One of my cities was starving and seemingly randomly turning on and off random tiles that had no food production would increase or decrease my food production. I eventually figured out that working production tiles costs food. That seems like something a tooltip somewhere should've told me, and maybe that happened and I missed it, but it was a big hangup for me. Also whenever I get stuck spawned super close to an AI, who due to the close quarters will mass an army and declare war on me within 20 turns, forcing me to choose between keeping up tech and wonder-wise with the other competitors or matching his military buildup to avoid a quick death. Steppenwolf Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Is this your first civ game? It's been like that since civ 1. The tile symbols are wysiwyg. And why would you assume that a mine or whatever produces food? Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 I played Civ 4 and it has a lot of the same annoying stuff but I guess the time + how much Civ 5 has been praised for streamlining and cleaning up obscure stuff that the sore spots just stick out to me more, I guess. I didn't say production spots produce food. You use more food having a mine being used by a city than if that citizen is instead fishing or gathering spices or something. My overall food usage was higher while using production tiles than without, and to save a starving city by trial and error I found moving some production guys to income tiles lessened the food burden of the city. Furyo Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Been playing a shit load of....Puzzle Quest 2. Got a free steam key from the devs and I must say I'm enjoying it a little too much I only played the first on the iPod and really really loved it. The second is more of the same in game mechanics but when it's that good I can't blame them. More spells, more gameplay modes besides the fights, it's an all around gem. Quote
ElectroSheep Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Just finished Bioshock, I love the end Quote
