People treating Blizzard games as a spectator sport has always confused me.

Yeah its a little odd, but look at that HDStarcraft's playlist.. several game vids over half a million views in less than a month, obviously people enjoy watching them! I've watched a few, its interesting to see how the game develops. I enjoyed watching them. There are a *lot* of gameplay vids on that channel, all of them between 80,000 and 550,000 views. I am surprised at how popular it is, but I understand it.

I think its more fun watching the finals in a good StarCraft championship, rather than the finals in soccer. (this year in particular... I actually left during half time to watch a starcraft replay and never returned to the match).

I liked playing Starcraft 2 but the hardcore aspect of the online part of the game is really off putting :s

Is there not any more casual games, like in starcraft 1? I remember having a bit better than 50% win percentage in SC1 online play, and I wasn't really great or anything. I mean, I had to have been like 13 or 14.. couldn't have been that good . I don't mind getting beat, and asshattery has never bothered me. Is everyone super serious online? I just remember loving doing 2v2 with my buddy, he would do zealots/dragoon/archon army to protect me while I built up a stupid huge fleet of carriers. Nostalgia!

well, if you play now you're not going to be against those guys man. You'll prob get a 50% record if you just play standard games. The only proper vs players i did was with starcraft 1 and i had a good 70% win record ;P

I give up with MP with this game. It's absolutely no fun for me. I preferred skirmishes in CoH to be honest.

Might be no-brainer to some of you, but I can already feel that I'm getting a tad better by constantly going through a system. Then I'll eventually get out on thin ice when I have to micro more stuff at once, but as underlying stuff its definitely helping.
