D3ads
I bought the original game years ago and still haven't to this day actually played it! For those of you out of the know, this is the sequel to the first American Mcgee's Alice, a third person adult twist on the Alice In Wonderland tale powered by the Quake III engine; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_McGee%27s_Alice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m34WO0hmZsY I think it looks fantastic, definately gonna have to play the original and catch up now! Erratic
Alice has the best brushwork of any game.

Mazy
Those screenshots look surprisingly good. Still have absolutely no interest in playing it though, never got around to trying out the first one.
-HP-
From those screens, i can say that it has a fantastic art direction! But that engine is plain awful. I see no specs, no depth on the textures, no particles, no fog, no nothing. Imagine that art in CE or Unreal, or a better engine overall. (Not that a game needs that technical shit to be good, obviously, just saying that it could look x200 better if had better tech)

Anyways i loved the first one, looking forward to this one
-HP-
That's where you didn't understand my point, maybe I didn't made myself clear, or you didn't understand. I did try and make it clear that the art direction (and game art) is pretty spot on on those screens. Great models, great textures, everything fits. It LOOKS great, don't get me wrong. And again, a game doesn't need tech to look good, but when I look at those screens i get that sensation of "It needs more cowbell". I'm not saying it needs to look fucking bumpmapped, don't get me wrong!
Warby
":1lmt9f5s]From those screens, i can say that it has a fantastic art direction! But that engine is plain awful. I see: -no specs, (over used i bet the engine can do it and they choose not to ! ) -no depth on the textures, (not sure what you mean by that ... the textures dont look flat to me there is bright and dark areas in them lots of contresst = lots of depth no ... ?!) -no particles, ( i can see particles ! once again no way the engine cant do particles ! ) -no fog, ( i can see fog ! once again no way the engine cant do fog ! ) -no nothing. ( i see many things ... many awesome things ... are we seeing the same screenshots ? ) Imagine that art in CE or Unreal, or a better engine overall. dux
It's really refreshing to go back to what seems to me from the screenshots, flat colourful diffuse textures with no fancy bollocks on them that make them look like some kind of plastic gift wrapping. Thanks to d3 being well bad at English I read his first post as Alice 2 being on Quake 3. Was like what. Or is it? I'm confused.
