Even though I ordered (or rather, reserved) just after they started taking orders, I still wont be getting one at launch. As usual it seems that Denmark is getting ridiculously few, it's the 3G and 3GS launch all over again. Hopefully I wont have to wait a month this time though.

Got my contract activated today and tried the "death grip" right away, I couldn't repro it so it loses all signal. It dropped like 1-2 bars when I touch the magic spot.

Try putting your finger over the black strip while you're on a call and you'll probably find the call drops. I do, anyway.

Nope, couldn't repro that. Just tried.

Well I guess it depends on the signal. I only get two or three bars where I work so it's usually enough to knock me off depending on conditions. I've now mastered the art of just not touching it though so I've not had any loss in a couple of weeks. :D

Hmm, still haven't received a mail saying that they've actually shipped the phone, but I've heard cases of em just sending em without any notification. Kinda odd.

Anyway, sat an played around with one of my colleagues' iPhone 4 today. Sat and made a side by side comparison with my 3G, it's just staggering how much better the screen is. I was desperately trying to make out pixels, and ended up with a headache :D

Can't wait!

I've had my iPhone4 for 3 weeks or so now...and in general it was a huge step up from my old 3G model. The 3GS is certainly faster than the 3G, so i was extra pleased at the iPHone4's speed in the OS and running apps. As for reception, I have noticed some dropped calls more often even with a case, but shit it is the price you pay. In the long run I may get less attached to the Apps when enough stuff is on the Droid OS, but for now I'm happy. On the plus side, I sold my old 3G as well as my wife's old 3G, both for cash that essentially made the upgrades to both our iPhone4's almost free.

Oh yeah, got my iPhone 4 Thursday. Had been lying at the post office since Wednesday without them telling me :o

It's great though, I've tried Death Gripping it a lot, and the most I've been able to accomplish is going from 3 to 2 bars, held it for about a minute, figure that should be enough. So in other words, non-existent issue, at least for me.

It's funny though, apart from the screen, which is absolutely stunning, then it's really the speed of the thing that impress me. Been used to my 3G iPhone with iOS 4.0, which has basically been rendered completely unusable, and the change in speed with the iPhone 4 simply just makes it fun to use the phone again.

Also it's great to have a good camera now, especially with video.

For budding photographers there who is a very sharp focus on their screen, iPhone 4 of "retinal display" may grab your interest. 4 screen phone is basically the same size as the other models, but there are four times as many pixels squeezed into the area. This means that clear images, bright colors and better picture display.
