schoft Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Absolutely loving the photograps. Did you took those with a Hasselblad ? Your website is down it seems. Quote
JeanPaul Posted May 5, 2010 Author Report Posted May 5, 2010 Nope, most of the shots were taken with higher end DSLR's, well actually, all of them were Quote
Rick_D Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 Thanks. And horizontal scrolling seems to be all the rage with amateur photographers for some reason. I really want to figure out a way to make it horizontally scroll with a vertical scroll wheel, that would definitely help im trying to figure out how to make this work as well. its definitely possible. Glynn Smith is doing it on his site: http://iamglynnsmith.com/# and there is a site called the horizontal way devoted to showcasing horizontal layouts. I looked into it briefly so far and it involves adding anchor points through out your document and using a javascript. only bummer with that stuff is it doesn't work with pgup, pgdn, home or end keys - which is not a huge issue but it's enough to make me go "blargh" Quote
Warby Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 i love the photos i wished i could take half way decent pictures ^^ and jeee people scrolling is so 1998 its all about "panning" now ! Quote
JeanPaul Posted February 24, 2011 Author Report Posted February 24, 2011 Hey guys I took most of your suggestions and updated my website, what do you guys think? New work is also up. http://www.jeanpaultron.com Quote
e-freak Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 like it, awesome to navigate and i love photography portfolios with horizontal scrolling. two missing things: a explanation of what we are seeing in the beginning of each category and a resume/aboutme/cv kind of page where I can see what job i'm hiring you for. content wise: top notch, really like your photography, would like to see more LD-Work. JeanPaul Posted February 24, 2011 Author Report Posted February 24, 2011 content wise: top notch, really like your photography, would like to see more LD-Work. Come to think of it. I definitely agree with this. Ive been using these shots for a while as I dont want to take the time to set them up again (they were taken at 32x AA) but I will show more black mesa work once its released. Also do keep in mind that its a photo portfolio as I dont think I really want to work in the game design industry. Quote
wilco Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 I'm not liking the general usability of the website I'm afraid, but I must admit I absolutely love your photography man great work! If I get chance, and you want - ill list some things I believe would help a lot! It's a shame to sell yourself short when your work is very nice Quote
