Seldoon182 Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Hey folks! I planed to go in London with a friend of mine this weekend to meet fresh chick and chit chat with the ppl from there. I would really enjoy my trip and that's why I need your help. I want tips and advises, where to go to meet great ppl. Is London the best city to meet young ppl or another city, with lots of students enjoying to get drunk and those kind of stuff, would be advised (in Southern England of course)? So many question that some of you might help. First of hows about the matter of transport!? Should we travel with our own car by the Ferry? Should we travel by train with the Eurostar and the Underground? Plane is too way expensive though. Then were to go and what to do the afternoon? Place to visit (except Helder' sister), where to sleep? Hostel? Youth Hostel (If yes which ones)? Dux's flat? Should we rent a car to visit else where? At last have you some address of cool bar, pub and also restaurant or cool thing we really need to visit and such? We're looking for cheap place of course coz we do want to try the most as possible! As u might understood I'm looking for a quite cool trip, looking for fun, meeting and want to get drunk all night long coz I'm such as Reef addicted. Ps: If some Mapcorian around London want to touch my big breast that's now or never! Quote

dux Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Fuck off this isn't EOT, keep the abuse to me in there. London is VERY congested. Your best way of getting around the place is by foot or if you're REALLY desperate, a bus or taxi. I live in Wales, which is like 400 miles away from London, so unlucky . Places of interest to visit: Oxford street, London Dungeon, Natural History Museum, Imperial War Museum, St. Pauls, Harrods. I suppose you could visit the cliché places like the Palace and London Bridge, etc. Could get a Bus tour ride too, they're good and show you all of the city. No address of cool places to eat and drink because, honestly, you trip over places to eat and drink every 20 meters, I never had a problem finding anywhere. Although I did go into a McDonald's with fucking red leather seats. Swish as fuck. Quote
Sentura Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 go to camden town. actually, stay in camden town. fuck everything else. camden town is the place. if anyone tells you differently, THEYRE LYING. covent garden may also be pretty cool to check out, but it doesn't rival CAMDEN TOWN. seriously, it's the coolest place in town. anyway preferred mode of transport to london is plane. eurostar will be fine. DONT grab your own car unless you wanna be stuck in traffic jams. use the tube/walk for transport, it's nice and some stations are very inspirational for level design too. for a hostel, i'm used to stay at one near king's cross station called ashley house. you should check it out, although i have heard rumors about them prohibiting alcohol as of late. dux Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Oh man the tube was dead confusing to start off with and soooo crowded. You might also wanna go to Leicester square at night, cool comedy clubs there. Quote
e-freak Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 just get your self a normal bus ticket for the longest trip possible, don't take any of the tourist-busses, they're overly expensive. By any means, don't take your own car to the city! There's a good youthhostel at St Pauls and one at Pancras. I stayed at both before and they're quite nice and good to get in town. Avoid the bigger clubs, they're hella overpriced but check out covent garden and the smaller pubs. If you want students you might want to take the bus to cambridge, did that two years ago and was quite fun. Quote
Sentura Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 i find a disturbing little amount of praise for camden town in this thread. Quote
FrieChamp Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 I stayed in a St Christopher Youth Hostel (the london bridge one) last May and we were rather happy with it. Quote
Taylor Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Don't even bother trying to run a car in London. The tube should be fine, though it does seem to turn everyone into a prick. Quote
Ginger Lord Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 For fun times, go into the Tube and stand on the left of the escalators and see how quickly someone screams at you. Quote
dux Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 For fun times, go into the Tube and stand on the left of the escalators and see how quickly someone screams at you. Also try walking really slow down oxford street or somewhere and see how long it takes for someone to push you over or punch you in the back of the head. Quote

Pericolos0 Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 If you want to have fun and pick up chicks just hang out in east london & shoreditch, awesome bars and clubs there, lots of things going on! Definitely check out brick lane. Watch out for all the hipsters on cocaine tho . Stay in a hostel, use tube/taxi to get around. Just fly to london with ryainair, then take terravision bus to liverpool street station, easy! I <3 London Quote
Buddy Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Be aware, they drive on the wrong side of the road. Just saying. Quote
