Hi Guys,

Wondering if you could answer a question for me. I'll go straight in with an example;

I've got my scene setup, it's a stage/set used for a conference. I have also modelled a few different lectures, seats, mic stands etc.

Does MAX have a library/catalogue i can view all my other MAX files in? Something which will let me sort and organise them.

I guess like windows explorer but something more internal, with MAX info, tags, previews etc. Actually Adobe Bridge would be the closest thing i'm after but for MAX.

I guess some kind of previewer. Well you can see a snapshot of the content in the .max file in Explorer if you use thumbnails. It takes a snapshot of the perspective window (or may be your current viewport) at the point of the save.

But I guess that's not really sufficient for what you want.

Sadly D3 yeah. The sets will always be original but the actual AV equipment will always be the same. Would just be sexy to have like a windows explorer style list of "Lighting", "Rigging", "Flats" of each style, size, etc. that we stock and drag drop them into a scene.

It does seem odd you have to go through the long process of importing everything.

Close, but no cigar. :( It only supports 2D formats from what i've read and seen?

I hope this one is ok.

Perfect! I owe you one mate.

I tried every combination of 3DS Max with assets, library, model viewer. Your Google skills are vastly superior to mine!
