Minos Posted March 27, 2010 Author Report Posted March 27, 2010 best thing about CS5 is that it wil finally have brushes that can smudge as well.. great for painting! Been waiting on this feature for years =). Let's just hope it can actually be used without killing your CPU (current smudge tool is bad as hell) Quote
deceiver Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 But wait, you can select different brushes for smudging in CS4 iirc. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 I'm talking about painting and smudging at the same time!! Kinda like the oil paint brushes in painter, or the opencanvas brush =). T-bone, it's just the default settings that make smudge slow, if you turn off smoothing and set brush spacing a bit further apart it runs pretty fast (and still looks the same) Quote

Yeah, love the brush in open canvas. That's good news then. Quote
Gloglebag Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Why don't you use painter for painting, it kicks photoshops ass. http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... bview=tab0 Quote
Zacker Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 About time that PS implements this, the technology has been there for years. As previous links in this thread clearly shows. Quote

I find myself switching back and forth to photoshop all the time, and all just because of the like 3 brushes in painter that are cool to use.. Quote
Gloglebag Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 I don't understand, I loved painter from the first moment I laid my eyes on it. Everything works just the way it works IRL, it's immediately familiar and logical how you should go about doing stuff. Quote
Sentura Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 i think by now people have grown accustomed to the photoshop interface and general tools, and that plays a large role in picking your software preference. Quote
Furyo Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Either that's entirely fake, or I have actually for the first time experienced what "jaw dropping" feels like. This algorithm is absolutely stunning. Quote
