It's going to be a side-story HL1 prequel explaining Gordon Freeman's origins and how he got so good at kicking alien ass. It's also going to blow the G-man's identity wide-open but nobody else knows about it cause Gordon can't talk.

they will:

-announce a major engine update and show new tech videos of it

-rename source engine to freeman engine

-and make it be free like udk and unity !

-and if your game is awesome it comes with a steam publishing deal ( or some other easier way to get your game verified and pushed through steam)

It would kick ass if publishing on steam would become "free" tho (as in Steam taking a certain % of sales, but if the game is free its free).

There is not a lot of chance for a new improved instance of the source engine but that could be a really good thing.
