Jetsetlemming Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I like the suggestion (Via the Calfornia Republic flag the guy at the end's holding) of a plot tie-in to Fallout 2. Wonder if we're gonna get to visit the old locations from that game? Quote
st0lve Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 NCR turned into Wolfenstein? I'll skip this, and wait for V13. Mostly because I didn't like FO3 at all. Quote
-HP- Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 fallout3 was amazine, played it twice. Can't wait for this! Quote
Sentura Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 gotta say that i'd be more impressed with this if it was isometric. i mean, fallout 3 was alright, but it is still nothing compared to its predecessors. i don't want another oblivion with guns... anyway, what's brian fargo up to these days? Mostly because I didn't like FO3 at all. st0lve is not allowed in this thread Sorry but how many hours did you put in Fallout 3? It took me about 8 hours to fall in love with the game. Sure it's not a perfect game but I still had a great time with it. I honestly can't stand those idiots at nma-fallout saying shit like "this isn't fallout!!!!1". This is 2010, get over it ffs. Anyway, interesting analysis of the teaser: http://kotaku.com/5464290/analyzing-the ... n/gallery/ V13 seems a train wreck project from what I've seen to be honest. Quote

Duff-e Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 I didn't get all the fallout 3 hate. I thought that depending on how you played it was short but I thoroughly enjoyed everything else about it. Even VATS was interesting. Looking forward to this. Quote
Mazy Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 Hah! That's awesome that somebody actually remembered that Donno about this one, I had decent fun with Fallout 3 but it was a bit too rough for me to keep on playing after I finished it. Hopefully this will feel a bit tighter/more polished and not just be a mission pack, even though I get that vibe from what they're saying. Quote
Serenius Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 After being disappointed by KOTOR2 and NWN2, I'm not holding my breath that this will be any good. I loved Fallout 3, and hope Obsidian can do this installment some justice. Quote

Maybe you had no comparision with Fo1 and Fo2? Quote
-HP- Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 Are we going to get through this again? Bethesda bought the ip, it was obvious they would do something different with it. f1 and f2 might be good games, but just because f3 is not like the previous ones, it DOESN'T make it a bad game. Cope with the pain. Quote

Maybe you had no comparision with Fo1 and Fo2? Was FO3 supposed to be anything beyond a conceptual successor to FO1&2? Basically yeah, what HP said. Quote
Sentura Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 you know, i was kinda feeling it with the hype before fallout 3 was released. but honestly, post-game? no, i'd rather have the old games. i'm not saying that fallout can't be turned into an fps game, i'm just saying that bethesda didn't do a great job at it. to me it really felt like they tried to fuse oblivion and fallout into one; and frankly, fallout is too vibrant a universe to fuse under such circumstances. if they corrected the things they did wrong with fallout 3, then there might yet be hope. also, on a more general note: can you stop telling people what to like and not like. it's almost as if it's a taboo to say anything negative about any game EVER on these forums. last time i checked, forums were made for discussion, not for fanatical devotion to the heathen gods of games.
