Minos Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 http://www.interstellarmarines.com/game/bullseye/?guest So cool for a browser game Quote
Hourences Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 Cool. Not working well for me on full screen with two monitors. Mouse moves out of screen one and it minimizes all the time. Otherwise this is a cool thing. Havent gotten further than those training rooms though, is there any actual level? Quote

Warby Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 most professional looking unity game i have seen so far ( except for my own of course) but it doesn't really perform that well for me i had like 15 fps and i also gotta ask what is this advertising i don't see any OTHER game ... Quote
Zacker Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 The guys behind this (danish company) were for some years trying to make a full blown game, back then on the Unreal engine. They got hit hard by the financial crisis though and had to cut employees and rethink their development strategy. This resulted in the idea of "AAA Indie" where they try to get the game funded by the community by continuously delivering updates. So there is no finished game as of yet. Despite the sadness of them having worked for 5+ years and still only having a very simple browser game I still think they should be given some props for doing whatever they can to get to develop the game. dux Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 All you do is stand still and click at targets? Quote
Skjalg Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 All you do is stand still and click at targets? Kind of, but I don't really see the bad side of that. It's not like you expect the next half-life when its a browser game. I was kind of expecting a 2d flash tower defense game Quote
Hourences Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 But thats the thing, what if youd do a HL sized game in the browser? It is possible. You can rent out the game then in a similar way as onlive works but without the video stream aspect. Quote
Skjalg Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 Yup, I know. It's going to happen now in the very near future Quote
Zarsky Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 (edited) Interstellar Marines is now on Kickstarter! I really like their vision, and hope they can make it a reality. http://www.kickstart...arines-prologue Time has passed, but they clearly haven't given up, so neither should you and I. Sentura Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 really cool, nice to see something "AAA" done in unity, even if it is only a target practice thing. definitely interested in helping them more with their kickstarter now Quote
Puddy Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 This game has been in development for aaaaages. And tbh, it feels like all promotional footage and trailers are made to conceal the fact that this is actually pretty generic and mediocre. It's like an uninspired NS2. Quote
Zarsky Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 I wouldn't say that sharks with limbs is "pretty generic". But what do I know... Quote
FrieChamp Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 I wish them the best, but 600k is pretty steep... Quote
