Mazy Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Just saw these 360 videos from Haiti on CNN and was pretty amazed of just how cool an idea it was. Obviously its awful whats happened there and I might sound kinda tasteless to marvel at some silly tech stuff, but in a way it makes it feel like you're almost there, I bet that we'll start to see much more of this kinda stuff from now on. Anyway, I just figured it was worth sharing http://edition.cnn.com/interactive/2010 ... index.html Quote
Duff-e Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 The company that does this has a bunch of tech videos that are equally as awesome. http://www.immersivemedia.com/demos/index.php I can't find the exact one that I saw first but it was a bunch of guys driving a boat. Twas very cool. Quote
DaanO Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 worried about tastelessness in mapcore....... /looking at duffy's avatar but it is a great piece of technology, nice stuff. my guess, in 15-20 years we have something like that combined with google streetview. and all sorority showers. tastelessness...... out. Duff-e Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 what the hell? Have you seen HP's avatar for the past couple weeks? It's not like shes nude...not to mention how small it is. Quote
