Sentura Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 As for blizzcolos0, I wouldn't say he is too good for there, but that I think he has found a place where his talents will be fully utilised. I am really happy for you man, it is a pretty big place to end up at. Nice to be able to check out the USA as well. Yeah, I'm nowhere near as good as the people working there right now, it's going to be a great learning experience I hope . lets see if that changes when they put you to work on diablo 5 or world of warcraft 3... it's true though, it is a learning experience.
Steppenwolf Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Yeah, I'm nowhere near as good as the people working there right now, it's going to be a great learning experience I hope . To call this an understatement would be an understatement.
Skjalg Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 lol sentura, you make it sound like blizzard doesn't make new games. For all you know, he's gonna work on their new MMO. And if he aint, then he probably gets to work on either StarCraft, Warcraft or Diablo. I don't really see how that is bad and why you gotta go around acting like you dont want to work at blizzard.
Taylor Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Blizzard would be great if it wasn't for all that success.
wacko Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I look forward to his working here... I think Sentura is just jealous Knowing what Pericolos0 would likely be working on, I think he has a great op to work with some really awesome people and on an awesome title. Plus he gets to work in the part of the building that has 2 bars LOL
Furyo Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I think anyone that would shun the idea of working for a company like Blizzard has to consider his real intentions of working in the industry.
wacko Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Plus he gets to work in the part of the building that has 2 bars LOL haha this is news to me! And yeah I'll be on the new mmo team, so that should be interesting . I'll be moving to the US first of february, can't wait! yea that part of the building is nice... on the same floor I am... then again maybe that is not a good thing
Skjalg Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 First of february. I'm gonna travel down to hamburg the first of february... I'll wave if I see you up there in the bright blue skies ;D
Mazy Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 The Warby/Skjalg power team! Oh and Sentura is just jealous
Sentura Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 nah, i'd just rather work somewhere with innovation rather than reuse. i did wish him luck though. I think anyone that would shun the idea of working for a company like Blizzard has to consider his real intentions of working in the industry. are you serious? and if yes, care to elaborate?
Zacker Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 I think anyone that would shun the idea of working for a company like Blizzard has to consider his real intentions of working in the industry. Word.
wacko Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 nah, i'd just rather work somewhere with innovation rather than reuse. i did wish him luck though. I think anyone that would shun the idea of working for a company like Blizzard has to consider his real intentions of working in the industry. are you serious? and if yes, care to elaborate? LOL... innovation LOL it takes more than innovation to make a good game. Sure I am bias since I work there but I think the reason is successful is because they make good games. If you think the gaming industry is full of innovation then you are an idiot. The gaming industry is one of the least innovative industries out there, companies are often just rehacking what other companies do but as i said it takes more than that to make a good game. Once again I think your just jealous... go get a job in the industry before you make comments on it
Furyo Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Yes I'm serious. If Blizzard is not good enough for someone that wants to work in the industry, I do suggest that one reevaluates their desire to work in the video games industry. Because to 99.9% of games developers out there who will never get as good working conditions, salaries, or motivating titles to work on, that's a slap in the face. So yeah maybe one's dream is to make it big as an indie. Fine, be my guest and try and make it on your own. I'll watch. I'll watch 99.9% of all attempts fail miserably while some perfectly viable commercial products from companies like Blizzard help thousands make a living and support their family.
