sarge mat Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 You will have to look at the screenshot's below to get an idea of what I am on about but in two locations I have noticed that as you run though them the lights flicker between different shades. Again the shots below give you a better idea of what's going on but I am not sure what's up. I did think that the indoor one might have been caused by the window so I removed the brush for the window its self with no luck. Anyone else come across anything like this or know what's up? Also have added more cubemaps in that area with not difference at all. As you can see the door looks weird too. Thanks EDIT: I am actually in the process of totally changing that outdoor part as its weird in general, but the problem still stands. Quote
ReNo Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 Are you using materials that are meant for models on brushwork? You shouldn't be using "VertexLitGeneric" materials on any brushwork or you'll get weird lighting issues that sound a lot like what you're describing. To fix it you can either switch it out for a different material that uses a suitable shader for brushes, or if you really want to use that texture and there isn't a LightmappedGeneric version of it available, you can create your own LightmappedGeneric material that references the same texture(s). Apologies if you've already checked for this, just sounds like a likely candidate. Quote
