its really that simple if you know of a fantastic model with an awsome picture that costs around 500 euro post it ! :)

this is maybe also the perfect place to pose what awesome tv you got even if its more expansive !

I've had 2 Sony LCDs, love(d) both of em. Only negative I have is that their biggest one is 52" that isn't in their über premium range, for my next one I'd like more than just a 6" upgrade, seems more or less impossible unless you go plasma though, which is definitely also an option.

Anyway, used to loathe Samsung based on their design and remote/menus, but their latest LED TVs are really nice, got a few at work and the contrast is pretty impressive (Even though its obviously not OLED, clever on Samsung's front that they try and confused people :D).

From my experience I'd go with Sony again, even if they aren't the cheapest :)

LG/samsung are safe choices, i own a 32" LG, 1080p, probably the best tv i've ever laid my eyes on. imo steer clear of philips; even though they have ambilight their screen quality seems so much lower.

I have the exact same tv, and yeah i can recommend easily.

I'd go with a Sony W series TV, W5500 is the latest in their medium-high range. I bet you can get a 32" or maybe even a 40" version of those in Germany for under €500 (You know, less taxes and all, unlike in shitty Denmark :().

I wouldn't go with LG based on the fact that their logo is atrocious :v

Make sure your tv has the option to connect a TP cable! Its so awesome beeing able to just hook a TP into the TV and be able to browse youtube and spotify without the hassle of computers!

Sounds like he's talking about plugging an ethernet cable directly into the tv. Personally RJ45 makes more sense to say than TP (twisted pair?) and ethernet makes more sense than both...at least within the context we're talking about.
