Rick_D Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 Ah, so this is what Yager is doing :megaman: Pretty neat setting, seeing how Dubai is completely artificial, luxurious, and extremely corrupt. interesting read - cheers! Quote

Mazy Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 What's Commander Shepard doing in the end of that trailer? Quote
Puddy Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 "I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite sandstorm on the Citadel." - Youtube comment The trailer doesn't show enough IMHO. Don't know if want. Quote
Rick_D Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 why is there a battlefield trailer for the first 30 seconds? and why has it taken 2 years to come up with this, cause now i am actually excited for this! a game that actually makes you think about stuff? yes please. grats on this new media burst, looks like the work was worth it! Algor Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Looks pretty interesting, glad to see they have made some improvements over their media blackout. Might be worth playing in a foreign language so you don't have to hear Nolan North playing himself again as the player character for the thousandth time this year . Quote
D3ads Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Uhhh.. what's the deal with this? Sandstorms invade America? lol wtf D3 Quote
arhurt Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Thumbs up. The destructoid review is interesting, can't wait to see more! Quote
Daze Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Some random screens and a small gameplay trailer to show: And trailer: :chap: Quote
e-freak Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Ah, Unreal has aged a little bit Still some really nice and awesome environment art in there! I also just read one of the first making of articles in Making Games magazine from Florian Zender... looks like you guys know what you're doing Quote
Izuno Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 I can only except Nolan North as Nathan Drake. He has a supporting generic bad guy role in Arkham City...I can barely tolerate that but every time I hear him in that game I cringe a little. Made me turn off Assassin's Creed II (or which AC game did he do VO in?) Anyway...I thought he was so good as Drake that to hear him in any other role ruins the role for me. Quote
Daze Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Oh interesting, when is the interview with Florian from? Also forgot to mention we finally have a release date: June 26th! Soon. Sooooon! Quote
Furyo Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 I can only except Nolan North as Nathan Drake. Every single AC game, since Nolan North voices Desmond Quote
Izuno Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Maybe that's why I hate Assassin's Creed? I guess it's time for me to get over myself and my Uncharted fanboy-ism. BTW I'm playing Uncharted: Golden Showers (wait...?) and it's pretty good...because I like Uncharted and dual analog sticks on my mobile gaming devices just like the way my iPad has awesome dual thumbst...oh, right. Anyway, guess I'm now obliged to try AC again. Back on topic...after watching "The Journey" trailer on youtube I'm left with the impression the devs and/or marketers decided to glue together the following ideas, some of which were mentioned in this thread already: - Battlefield 3 visuals (mainly the speeding road thingy in the beginning) - MW3/BF3/Inception/etc "BWHHAAARRRR" sound as we've discussed to death already - The sandstorm level in MW3 which isn't that much different from the poison gas level in Black Ops... - Sheppard from Mass Effect - Charred bodies in the nightmare and "flashforward" scenes from Terminator 2 - Lord of the Rings...you know...Sauron's flaming eye...look a the last shot in the trailer... Even so...I have to admit I'm interested. Maybe it will rip off a ton of Call of Duty and BF and whatever else. I don't care. It's just the premise of a big "city meets sand" environment in a sand storm that seems interesting, and it seems like it has sense of drama to it in the trailer presentation but we all know that can go out the window in a heartbeat once the actual gameplay starts.
