Mazy Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 http://continuitygame.com/ Donno if its old, haven't seen it before, pretty cool premise. They better make a XBLA/PSN version of this, could have potential to become the next Braid or so Quote
Hourences Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Awesome concept, with some better art this could be cool. Quote
Minos Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Continuity is awesome! Sorry to hijack your thread but I found this game the other day and I loved the concept and visuals: http://www.playauditorium.com/ Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Platformer + sliding block puzzle is not innovative fyi I played through just over half the levels and had only seen two really clever puzzles, somebody convince me to keep going Quote
Pericolos0 Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Platformer + sliding block puzzle is not innovative fyi why not? I never played anything like this. I really love the music and how it fades between zooming in and out.. awesome touch =). Quote
Warby Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 love !!! there was a very similiar section in machinarium though in the arcade at the end of the game so ill also only cast half of my innovation love on this than what i usually would ^^ Quote
Scinbed Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 Yeah I got bored of this after the third level. Quote
Sentura Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 it felt gimmicky honestly, i've played better (such as kill me). it's two difference concepts we already knew put together. i wouldn't call that innovation, i'd call it recycling. Quote
Duff-e Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 I played this a couple days ago. Level 4 is a good example of why the game as it was made is dumb. You start off in a position where you should clearly be able to go from the left panel to the right but you can't because it doesn't "match up" correctly. I can understand not being able to cross panels because there is a barrier (the black surface) but any space where blue touches blue you should be able to cross over otherwise it's even more gimmicky than it already is. Neat idea, bad implementation. edit: after playing a little more, level 6 is an even better example of the matching up problem I was talking about on level 4. Yeah, I get it, the designer wants you to play the puzzle his way but it doesn't make any sense from the player perspective why you can't cross over as long as there's clearance. Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Platformer + sliding block puzzle is not innovative fyi why not? I never played anything like this. I really love the music and how it fades between zooming in and out.. awesome touch =). Because innovation is more than just making something different. It's about progression forward into better stuff. This will not revolutionize platformers. The next Mario title will not be played on sliding tiles. Quote
Grinwhrl Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Awesome music, but the game got repetitive quick. Needs more killing.. Quote
