I would quite like for this to be a fantastic game to rival what IW are doing - just so we can have people step back and see that it's not particularly hard to nail that kind of gameplay. Just takes the right people and enough money.

As Mazy said, competition is a good thing, bearing in mind CoD jumped on the MoH formula all those years ago, it would be interesting to see how this turns out.

Also the visuals look pretty decent, I'm sure they're not using a 10 year old engine so we can expect to see some nice stuff in there. Also that was a trailer released almost a year before the game is due, there is no way in hell more than 20% of what you saw will be in the final game.

It looks better then expected especially considering the dull afghanistan setting. You can tell they try their best to make it interesting.

The whole modern warfare thing itself gets really boring tho. Too many games have covered that by now.

Does this run on Frostbyte engine? Lighting looks similar to the Bad Company games and would make sense when Dice is making the mp for this.

I can't think of any good modern warfare games I've played other than Battlefield and Call of Duty. I've certainly played as a space marine more often during the past several years than anything else.

I'm actually feeling kind of optimistic about this, mostly because of its Afghanistan setting — that place is pretty wild with unconventional combat at the moment (as hinted at by the suicide bomb guy in the trailer) and as clarified above the country has a very diverse environment.

Call of Duty's take is great and all, but it's a very different modern warfare story with all the nuclear Russia aspect and such. From what I can tell the difference between Call of Duty and Medal of Honor will be like the difference between Halo and Gears of War. I don't think they're stupid enough to just parrot what CoD's done.
