Minos Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Hey I've been experiencing very frequent lock-ups on fallout (360). I've had two only today I searched about it and many people seemed to have the same problem but it's hard to trust common players assumptions on the problem. Have any of you guys experienced them as well? I tried clearing my xbox cache but that didn't help either. I don't want to believe it's my xbox failing since it's pretty knew (about 3 months old). Steppenwolf Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Never happend to me (spent around 120 hrs in the game). Maybe its a heat issue? Isnt it like summer now in brazil? Quote

I don't think it's system is overheating since I place it in a well ventilated area and Sao Paulo is a pretty chill city (around 18 ºC now). Quote
FrieChamp Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I've had those! I tried clearing the cache too, didn't help...next thing that happened was red ring of death. Better say goodbye now... Quote
-HP- Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 That's what you get for not buying the PC version... Quote

Better say goodbye now... That's what I fear. But since my xbox has a jasper mobo (which reportedly brings failure rate down to 1% or so) that may not be the case. Was your system locking up with other games as well? Quote
Warby Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 i experienced no problems with flal out 3 on 360 except the occasional scripting bug or the fact that 2 of the bobble heads are hidden before a point of no return * shaking fist * invested about 80 hours in it if iremember corectly Quote
mjens Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Try to copy your game to HDD. Maybe it's a read error of some ambient sound or some shit... Quote
Pericolos0 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 never had fallout 3 problems either.. I wasted way too much time on that game =). And probably would have alot more if my xbox didn't die (again). Quote
Mazy Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Played it on the 360 too, maybe had two freeze ups while playing it. Nothing too persistent tho D: . Around launch it was the PS3 version that was a horrid mess (Something with people on your friendlist coming online would completely crush the framerate and such), but that was fixed. Not exactly the most sturdy piece of software it seems Quote
-HP- Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Yeah, the PS3 is always the console that hurts the most when running multiplatform games. Blame Sony for that. Quote
Evert Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Yeah 2 years ago that was the case HP... I hade a few lockups too in fallout, when going into the pipboy Quote
Minos Posted November 14, 2009 Author Report Posted November 14, 2009 For those who are experiencing the same problem I think I found the solution: clearing the game cache (hold RB + LB + X while the game is booting on 360). Loading times are a bit longer now but at least I can play the game without it crashing on me every 40 minutes. Deleting it from the HDD and running from the disc seemed to help as well (maybe some of the data got corrupted when I installed it in the HDD? who knows). Quote
