Ginger Lord Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Rapidly becoming less impressed with PC games these days. Never used to be so damn hard to you know, play the game you just bought without spending hours trying to get it to work! I sense buying a console soon... Anyway, Mirrors Edge. It all looks pretty dandy except for the fact all the character models are invisible. Just floating guns and red glows in a body shape over bad guys. Kind of makes it hard to play.... Have: Reinstalled game twice Updated drivers Reverted drivers Updated Physx Patched Game Tried every combo of settings in nVidia control panel Cursed Rebooted computer after each setting change Changed resoloution Tried every combo of ingame settings So kinda frustrated, but glad I only paid £3 something for it rather than RRP. 2d-chris Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 did you manage to fix the crysis stuff? perhaps its some hardware fault on your end? Chances are its just good old bugs from developers though ;P I never update my gfx card drivers once I find a setup that works for the applications I use. Causes more problems than fixes. Oh also, installing and reverting drivers can get _very_ messy, it's recommended to actually reformat after doing it too many times. Quote
Ginger Lord Posted October 11, 2009 Author Report Posted October 11, 2009 did you manage to fix the crysis stuff? perhaps its some hardware fault on your end? Yeah I did fix that stuff for Crysis, not sure why it made any difference but it did. I am thinking it could be a hardware error as this is happening an awful lot recently. Just hard to come up with concrete proof... Quote
dux Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 It's happening a lot you say? Switch the card and see if the problems persist. Quote
Ginger Lord Posted October 11, 2009 Author Report Posted October 11, 2009 It's happening a lot you say? Switch the card and see if the problems persist. Well, not a lot. I've disregarded GTA4 as that is a terrible port, but Mirrors Edge has been the first new major one. Crysis could have been the demo and Burnout Paradise doesnt work without AA enabled. Source/UT3/CoH and all other games work fine. Not sure I've got any other GPU's lying around, gave the 7900GS to the woman. Quote
dux Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Well I'd say it's the card, personally. Though I could be wrong, I don't see what else it could be. Might just be plain faulty. Quote

I don't think the warp coils would take the extented plasma impulse, perhaps reruiting the secondary bypass conduit would give simular results? Quote
-HP- Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Actually, you should consult Space Machine & Engineering manufacturers Rectangular & Double Ridge waveguide assemblies, waveguide components, adapters, transitions and microwave technology. So you could get Basic “building block” components for waveguide systems, most of which are available from their extensive stock. Or, just speak with James L. Cooper. Quote
