ElectroSheep Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Hi ! I said Student in the title because I'm actually at school and i didn't choose any speciallisation yet (this should become this year) ... even if my portfolio is very connected up to environment / level design at the moment But it's still in développement and I will update it regullary  so please comments It's here : http://www.minerality.fr Bye :monocle: Quote
2d-chris Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Kick ass man, I love your source engine work it looks so clean and nice! I would remove this kind of stuff though ... - June 2003/2004/2005 : voluntary at the music festival "Terres Neuvas" - July - August 2005 : dishwasher - July - August 2006 : assistant cook - July - August 2007 : super market employee - August 2007 : assistant cook Game developers don't want your life history, just jobs that might be connected to the games industry. If your applying for an entry position less is more, if they ask what you did before you can tell them. Good luck! Quote
ElectroSheep Posted September 25, 2009 Author Report Posted September 25, 2009 Thanks yes it's true but I thank that a list of job was better than... nothing Quote
Furyo Posted September 26, 2009 Report Posted September 26, 2009 Yeah that's a common mistake many people do when they start, thinking they need to fill every gap in so it's more beefy. Truth is it hurts you a lot more than you may think. Also, hello Neji, glad to see you here I still need to test your L4D campaign one of these days with you and the crew Quote
ElectroSheep Posted September 26, 2009 Author Report Posted September 26, 2009 Ha ! How you recognised me Ok, definitely I'm going to change this, I'm also going to diminish the breadth of the site. Quote
Defrag Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Cool stuff, but I noticed a few things: 1. Show bigger previews for your maps. One slim, blurred letterbox screenshot tells me nothing about what I'm about to look at. 2. Show bigger thumbnail shots, and make them include the full picture. Zooming in on one pipe in a thumbnail makes it a mystery guessing game I much prefer larger thumbnails that contain the entire scene (or at least a large amount of it). 3. Bigger screenshots would be nice. The stuff you're showing looks really nice, but the screenshots are tiny! Anyway, those are my nitpcks! Quote
ElectroSheep Posted October 6, 2009 Author Report Posted October 6, 2009 Thanks Guy Finnaly, I agree with 1 and 3, I'll probably deleted blur and when I began to work on this site, I was on a tiny cathodic screen Quote
ElectroSheep Posted October 30, 2009 Author Report Posted October 30, 2009 Hi everyone ! I did some modifications to my port. Instead of one page by map to load, I placed all of them on the same page for test but finally I like it even if it's a bit blocked. http://www.minerality.fr/index.html Quote
-HP- Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 I like it how it looks atm! Not a fan of the green you choose but works for me! Quote
Defrag Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 Nice update. I think that's much easier to browse now Quote
ElectroSheep Posted January 17, 2010 Author Report Posted January 17, 2010 Hi everyone I did some modifications to my port : http://www.minerality.fr/index.html -Add separation to the differents parts on the resume page. I think, resume is cleaner now (but a bit empty haha) -Change "level design" button to "Levels", shotter and level design looks a bit pretentious for a student -Add a bigger header. -Add a download link to my only finished map presented here. -Change some colors. (yes I have strange taste ) -... thanks for your attention. :megaman: Quote
Zeta Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 I would suggest aligning all the Level titles to the left of the screen, as it is, it's a little hard to look at. You've got some nice stuff in there, especially your TF2 work. Quote
ElectroSheep Posted January 17, 2010 Author Report Posted January 17, 2010 Thanks guy This point is a thing that I just changed so if several people think it's hard too, i'll probably change it. Quote
ben72227 Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 The TF2 stuff looks really good! Quote
ElectroSheep Posted April 11, 2010 Author Report Posted April 11, 2010 Hi guys After 6 different version of my port, I finally found one I like and i'll probably keep. It's not finished yet (no pdf and no oceanic page) but it's on good way. take a look if you want : http://www.minerality.fr/index.html Now I have to fill it :ssj: Quote
