-HP- Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclu ... rity/55154 Make sure to watch the other parts. Too me, it looks like a mixture of past games like bioshock, with some horror, etc. Quote
FrieChamp Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I couldn't find the third part, but from what I've seen to me that time altering device looks like a bad gimmick Quote
Buddy Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I watched the first part and all i can tell is that they really needed some new "cool thing" and gravity gun (nor portal gun) wouldn't be new anymore so they did time gun instead. Looks like blatant mix of everything we've seen before with no special originality whatsoever. The town doesnt look very soviet to me tbh, except those symbols and fonts that is :s. Quote
Section_Ei8ht Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 While I'm going to have to agree that the game looks and feel a lot like bioshock and most feels like a rehash of everything we've already seen before, It still looks good enough for me to pick up and give it a go. Quote
dux Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 What a total cash in What I saw was: Bioshock, Fear and Stalker. What's happened to Raven? Quote
Sentura Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 honestly? it looks like this could be the first proper time based shooter. from what i've seen it pretty much hits the difficult spot with how you can utilize time to your advantage without overpowering the game altogether; it doesn't have that gimmicky feel to it. there are also interesting parts of the game, it certainly doesn't look as bad as you people would have us believe. Gloglebag Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Everything I've played from Raven was good or fantastic, and this looks fantastic. Quote

Can't see anything special here really and it doesn't feel very Russian apart from Hammer and Sickle in places and Spetsnaz insignia on the special forces soldiers. Maybe it will improve in time but it's not ringing any bells for me. Quote
Nysuatro Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 That looked really cool. I like the puzzles with time reconstruction. Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 That looked really cool. I like the puzzles with time reconstruction. Looks less like puzzles and more like "use shiny objects to continue". What I saw in those videos never went more complex then flipping obvious switches, except maybe the combat uses and that's still pretty meh. Quote
Jenn0_Bing Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 This looks like Wolfenstein with soviets to me, which i cant really see as a bad thing. I'm lookign forward to it, but I'm not holding my breath and waiting for the reviews. Quote

Jetsetlemming Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I still haven't played Bioshock, my computer hasn't been good enough to run it. I've owned a copy on Steam since last christmas, though. First thing I'll install when I get a new PC (after firefox and deus ex and my chat programs and antivirus and steam) Quote
KungFuSquirrel Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 What a total cash in What I saw was: Bioshock, Fear and Stalker. What's happened to Raven? If it's worth anything, the first prototype was put together about a year before I left Raven (I've been out for 3 years), though certainly it looks like it's taken a few cues from these games in the time since. Prototype was among the highlights of my career so far, for whatever that's worth. Quote
dux Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I guess I just expect more from the guys who did the awesome Elite Force. Quote
