I watched the first part and all i can tell is that they really needed some new "cool thing" and gravity gun (nor portal gun) wouldn't be new anymore so they did time gun instead.

Looks like blatant mix of everything we've seen before with no special originality whatsoever.

The town doesnt look very soviet to me tbh, except those symbols and fonts that is :s.

honestly? it looks like this could be the first proper time based shooter. from what i've seen it pretty much hits the difficult spot with how you can utilize time to your advantage without overpowering the game altogether; it doesn't have that gimmicky feel to it. there are also interesting parts of the game, it certainly doesn't look as bad as you people would have us believe.

This... Can't see anything special here really and it doesn't feel very Russian apart from Hammer and Sickle in places and Spetsnaz insignia on the special forces soldiers. Maybe it will improve in time but it's not ringing any bells for me.

That looked really cool. I like the puzzles with time reconstruction.

Looks less like puzzles and more like "use shiny objects to continue". What I saw in those videos never went more complex then flipping obvious switches, except maybe the combat uses and that's still pretty meh.

I still haven't played Bioshock, my computer hasn't been good enough to run it. I've owned a copy on Steam since last christmas, though. First thing I'll install when I get a new PC (after firefox and deus ex and my chat programs and antivirus and steam)

What a total cash in :(

What I saw was: Bioshock, Fear and Stalker. What's happened to Raven?

If it's worth anything, the first prototype was put together about a year before I left Raven (I've been out for 3 years), though certainly it looks like it's taken a few cues from these games in the time since.

Prototype was among the highlights of my career so far, for whatever that's worth.
