I'm working on a small fy_ map for cs source for fun. It will be a santa's house with stuff and a small forest and a little frozen lake with ice.

The edges around the water seem a little sharp. and that light seems waaay to bright. It makes the snow look like sand.

I'd always imagined santa's house to be a bit more... magical. That just looks like an average 4 bedroom detached in a modern housing estate.

Yeah, but all I would say has been said: edges water to sharp and the lights are too bright. I like the idea of a forest. You could also add atmospheric christmas light/trees and stuf.

I think the map is too dark.

Winter wonderland is what i'd think about, a very ambient lightish lighting would do great here, barely any shadows from a clouded sky but the lig ht still getting through, i think you may have a better effect that way.
