mr.P Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 havent posted anything in a while, been slacking, decided to redo one of the sites in my latest level, moved it from one of the hangars to upper deck, players will be able to see the commander bridge through the glass...felt more epic, also switched out the blackbird for a nighthawk - made in bsp also been struggling to get the scaling of the inside to feel like a aircraft carrier, got some more texture tweaks to do then hopefully the spec will work its magic, got some more work to do before the fun stuff begins... kinggambit, General Vivi, Squad and 3 others 6 Quote

nicoreda Posted May 18, 2014 Report Posted May 18, 2014 Hey ! I don't know if I've posted on mapcore before, so Hello every one! I'm nicoreda I've been following mapcore for months (watching you work), and I really like it. Now, I think it is the time for me to post in this thread. This wip is a future GunGame map for Counter-Strike Global Offensive. I started de_townda but... Now, I don't like bomb map creation anymore (really hard to make a good gameplay / design), this is why I'm making a Gungame map. The environnement takes place in something like a minster (ruined and fantasy-style). I'd like to show you only those images (still WiP). Note: There are some reflectives spheres on my screenshots, I've made this to see how cubemaps are working , and for a future shader. tomm, WD, Demonz312 and 4 others 7 Quote

Vilham Posted May 23, 2014 Report Posted May 23, 2014 Yeah that is pretty cool for skybox stuff/shop windows in open world games. What is the performance hit like? Quote
kinggambit Posted May 23, 2014 Report Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) I'm a bit stuck on my progress for my map de_fracture (partially because I don't know how to make my textures not so damn ugly!) If you have suggestions, please for the love of god, post'em! () I got some basic feedback to use a lot of metal for the modern complex feeling. Not sure if specularity in source engine is just bad or if I'm just a noob but here's the results: Some more photos for de_fracture_b4 if interested: http://imgur.com/a/F7vNL Edited May 23, 2014 by kinggambit Vinneri, nicoreda and Minos 3 Quote

Minos Posted May 23, 2014 Report Posted May 23, 2014 Yeah that is pretty cool for skybox stuff/shop windows in open world games. What is the performance hit like? Should be pretty cheap as far as I know (the parallax itself is just a few texture maps with bump offset on their UVs + lerps to mask them). I'm planning to use this to make a few buildings and backdrop stuff, hopefully I'll have something cool to show soon Quote
