insta Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Welcome evilair! Btw is there any chance you could finish off this set: http://evillair.net/e107/content.php?content.17 I'd really like to use that style but on a greater scale (ie more textures) Thanks. Those textures have been bought by a game company so I can't release them. Oh balls! I'm trying to make my own Sci-fi textures but it's not happening as I can't draw from scratch and you can't get photos of something that doesn't exist! Can you give me any tips? At the moment I'm looking into editing d3 textures by taking screens in the editor  Aren't doom3 textures .tga's? Why not just import them directly into HL2, or whatever engine you're working on. Quote
D3ads Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 lol that is the definition of desperation Haha indeed. Insta, it's for HL1 I thus that is not an option. Quote

Convert them to bmp/jpg and throw them into a wad-file. It's basically regular bitmaps with bumpmaps/specular added in-game, right? Quote

They're just coloured squares without any real definitions or detail because they rely on the specular and normal maps for that. Examples: Quote
evillair Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 ...or you can combine them with some Photoshop voodoo. Quote
st0lve Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 not sure about that bomb spot, but the rest looks good for a cpl map. Quote
Minos Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 I really like the exterior pics hamster Keep it up. Quote
Quakis Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 When I looked at that green sign, I thought of something on the lines of : Science and Industry Source because it's the same tint of green. Looking good though Quote
D3ads Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 Looks great, really good interior lighting One thing, I don't like that purple graffiti in the last shot, also it doesn't seem right to be up there, wouldn't it look better lower down? Just a thought. Quote
Crackerjack Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 ...or you can combine them with some Photoshop voodoo. ooo Nice voodoo hamster: Outside may be a bit to orange for my liking, as for the inside... maybe calm down on the brown pipes everywhere. Other than that is looking pretty good. BUT! 2 questions... is that evil monkey on the catwalk... and also whats up with cyberathlete amateur league? Quote
